17-18th c Baroque Pearl Sapphire and Ruby Gilt silver Figure. The figure made of silver (base tested) with gilding, his belt set with sapphire and a ruby buckle as well as turquoise buttons the body baroque pearl . the figure is gilt and clear colored and opaque enamel with losses. The figure is mounted on a Baroque base with the side showing various scenes of cherubs one may pole one with a goat etc. This figure is similar yet lesser quality to the Baroque pearl figures in the collection of Green Vault at Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Dresden see google . Size H 4.25" W 1.75"square. Note the figure is mounted on one foot the base of foot has a peg at the toe and a ball at the heal to correspond to a hole and a divot to balance, we have used 2 drops of crazy glue to stabilize the figure and his hat is a separate piece held on with nano tape easily removed and reset.
