The French doll company by Jules Nicolas Steiner create 1858 a wonderful and rare to find bisque Bebe inspired by Japanes play dolls at this times .
A special beautiful early Bebe called " Motchman Steiner " with rare body style and fine modeling of all bisque limps and body middle part .
This sweet 15" ( 39 cm ) premier Bebe is simply stunning , has best quality of pale bisque with dramatic painting , superb facial expression and special fine modeled and painted bisque limps !!
Domed pale bisque shoulder head with pretty enamel dark blue enamel inset eyes with spiral threading , has dark eyeliner and lushly-painted lashes and brows. Pale rose eye shadow painting and closed mouth with fine outlined lips. Flat ears without earring holes and nice replaced mohair wig special made in round style for her head ( her original wig was gone ).
Pretty shoulder plate with modeled breast and shoulders . Generally excellent head and shoulder plate condition , free of damage , hairline , repair , chip or other bisque problem.................Unmarked !
Original unusual body style with limps and body middle part of pale bisque , original muslin covered torso , upper arms and legs . Fine modeled arms and fingers .... note a well done finger repair at one of her hands and a tiny factorie flaw fire line inside at one of her thumbs .
Pretty bisque under legs with fine modeled bar feet and loes. Lovely bisque belly and buttocks with attached thighs ..... all in generally excellent condition as well !
The rare Bebe is wearing with undergarments and her pretty original gown with nice red stripes and a beautiful Steiner bonnet as finally touch ....
