Rare French 19" ( 49 cm ) poupee by Pierre-Francois Jumeau circa 1865 , a portrait like model which was likely created for Paris exhibition for international exposition !
A very rare model with special luxury and elegant appearance , superb gentle facial expression with superb quality of sculpting ... bisque quality and painting .
Wonderful pale bisque swivel portrait head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate . Has perfectly oval shaped oval shaped face with beautiful small blue glass enamel inset eyes . Dark eyeliner and fine painted lashes on mauve-blushed eye shadow , feathered brows . Rare modeled eagle shape nose and closed mouth with very well defined outlined lips .
Her ears are in-pierced in her head and she has a special beautiful long mohair wig over replaced cork.
Original clean and sturdy kid poupee body with shapely torso , gusset - jointed arms and jointed legs . Body mark with blue stamp by Maison Jumeau ..
Her complete condition is generally excellent ... bisque are free of repair , hairline , chip or damage.
Body condition are good as well.. note a small patch at back and slightly rubbed fingers .
Wearing wonderful original three piece couture costume with blue soutach decoration , set of undergarments with corset , stocking and antique heeled booties. Beautiful antique hig brim bonnet matching to her outstandig costume !
Extremely rare to find portrait Poupee with wonderful facial expression ... the best from the best of a luxury fashion doll by Maison Jumeau !!
