Rare to find in such good condition to age early English wooden doll from mid-1700th. , has fine original finish and wig .... wearing lovely silk gown !
Wonderful 11" ( 29 cm ) " Queen Anne " doll has carved wooden one piece head and torso with slightly elongated throat .
Has inset black enamel eyes with tiny dot - fringed lashes and brows , shaped nose and closed mouth and pretty blushed cheeks !
She has her fine original finish and lovely blonde mohair wig with little side curls .
Shapely torso with original cloth arms , wooden legs with hip and knee jointing.
Her complete condition is good to her age , note a old finish crack which are kept stable and a repaired leg ...( please see my pictures ) . Her little problems are not disturbing and acceptable because of her high age !!
This early Lady is pretty wearing of antique silk gown with matching flat hat and lace bonnet , woolen under skirt and she owns one of her original shoes ... the second are gone in the time !
Outstanding rare wooden doll in lovely cabinet size with original finish and superb original facial expression and painting with classic blush cheeks. Beautiful silk costume with her original fingerless netting gloves.
