Stunning French mahogany canoe circa 1930's. Just under 15 feet long with solid gunwales and keel. The French call these Canadian canoes although they were built in France between the 1930's-50's. This early version features 1-1/2" wide internal ribs that eliminate the need for lengthwise running boards. The hull is secured with copper and brass nails from the outside in. No damage noted, although it could probably use another coat of marine-grade varnish. Made by, “Rocca”.
