Antique Chinese three-tier storage basket. Iron fittings along the edges and handle. 19th Century Size: 17.5" height, 22.25" width, 13" depth

Japanese bronze suiban, or a dish to be filled with viewing stones called suiseki, as well as small plant arrangements. The rim has flower petal incision motifs while the sides are decorated by medallions and a pair of handles shaped like elephant heads. Artist's signature on bottom.

Antique Japanese wood ranma (transom) with a black lacquer frame. The center panel is carved with a landscape scene of a bride with pine trees and rock formations.

An antique Japanese Hibachi with Maki-E gilt lacquer and inlay in a melon shape made of kiri wood. The gilt lacquer designs are of a bird in peonies and ivy trailing around the edge. Gilt nashiji flakes and inlay add depth to the nature scene. Interior has an old patina.

An antique Japanese Kyodai (mirror stand) made of Toneriko (Tamo Ash) and Tochonoki (Horse Chestnut) woods. Original bronze fittings and finish. The bottom support panel features a relief hand carving of a flying crane, a sea turtle, a pine tree and bamboo, all good luck symbols representing longevity and strength. The mirror itself swivels to allow for close-up as well as full length views.

A vintage Japanese Okidoko (Tokonoma alcove chest) made of a dense grain Akita Sugi (Cryptomeria) wood. Originally it was used to showcase Ikebana flower arrangements, special porcelain vases, Japanese sculptures, or seasonal displays. The cabinet hidden by the sliding doors was used to store tea ceremony paraphernalia such as scrolls, tea bowls and Ikebana vessels.

It will work in a contemporary setting to elevate and display any myriad of items.

Small Korean rectangular stand made of elm wood, elegant lines and design, beautiful patina with traces of red lacquer, very simple and useful, 19th century. 11" high x 19 1/4" wide x 13 3/4" deep.

Japanese iron tea kettle/brazier in a gourd shape. The bottom brazier has two openings, one in front and one in back, and has two large, round handles on its sides, held in the mouths of beasts or dragons. The upper portion is for boiling tea and has two slim handles on either of its sides. The hardwood lid has a very cute leaf and flower bud decoration. Comes with two iron coal pokers. New Arrival

Antique Japanese large onigawara roof tile end cap. This beautiful tile was made in the toukigawara method with a hollow interior. It once graced the roof of a large building, perhaps a temple or an important house. It has a raised Tomoe crest (mon) in the center which is surrounded by wonderfully three dimensional swirling clouds and topped with it's own roof. Meiji Period (1868-1912). Size: 20" high x 22" wide x 12 1/2" deep.

Chinese small monochrome porcelain vase with a dark purple underglaze. The body of the vase is rounded with tapered foot, tall slender neck with small opening. The foot is bare of glaze.

Antique Korean pair of small Koryŏ porcelain cups. Elegant form with small feet and sharply flared sides. Fine celadon glaze in pale blue with high transparency. The interiors are a paler translucent glaze. Each cup has a simple blue underglaze dot in the underside of the foot.

Goryeo (Koryŏ) Dynasty (918 (935)-1392)

Antique Chinese pottery figure of a frog. Glazed a rich green color with nice drips and crackle. Sitting on a rectangular slab with face turned upward. Frogs have long been symbols of good fortune and prosperity.

Chinese rose canton candle stick with scenes of court and birds with flowers, 19th century. From the Fawcett collection. It measures 8.5" tall, 2.25" wide at top, 4.5" wide at base.

Chinese bowl or dish in a famille rose style, with a light blue base and interior rim, yellow ground with flecks of red and green in a floral pattern, and a large design of a butterfly with blue, pink, purple, and green colors.
