Pair of cylindrical, footed, ribbed boxes with circular lids. The food container or game box is lacquered in black with 9 "mitsudome" mon pattern on four sides. The four feet are decorated with incised brass hard mounts and its lid and box are held together with original pale green silk cord tassels.

Original Antique Japanese gyosho bako (merchant's chest) made from kiri (paulownia) wood with a red lacquer finish. Its front features two doors on iron hinges, with iron fan shaped corner hardware and locks. Many drawers of varying size and handle styles sit within. The sides of the box have iron rings for a merchant to attach straps and carry. Original condition and glowing finish. Wonderful piece.

Antique Japanese fu dog netsuke, with open mouth and front paw resting upon a hollow xi qui ball. Beautifully carved with attention to detail. Antique Japanese painting of a Goju-no-to, five storied pagoda of the typical Japanese Buddhist temple. The pagoda is decorated using Kanji with a repeated sutra and other passages. Horin, the nine rings atop the pagoda are each a symbol. It measures 21.25" by 10.13". Some signs of age. Painted in sumi ink on paper. Meiji period 1868-1912.

Antique Kilim runner of Turkish nomadic tribe origin. A series of 9 large bands, each with three large diamond shaped reserves inside which are crosses surrounded by protective hooked borders.
