A pair of hanging scrolls by Kano Dohaku Chikanobu (1772-1821), a famous Edo period painter, 5th head of the Surugadai branch of the Kano School. In 1813 he received the honorary title of "Okurakyo-Hogen" (law of the eye).The pair contains an image of three geese set near a marshland with reeds. Scroll comes with box that woud be of the period. Age: Mid-Edo Period( 1800-1820). Size per scroll: Height: 70.25" Width: 14.25" (with ends) 16.25".

Beautiful two section desk with a 2 section inlaid marble top. The top section has three drawers, the bottom section has two drawers. The marble is grey and white. Brass hardware. It measures 44"wide x 22"deep 32" tall. early Republic period circa 1900.

A four panel coromandel screen with four porcelain panels set inside the screen surrounded with mother of pearl inlay of various human subjects set within a landscape. Each porcelain panel contains a short inscription describing the scene. The next line contains the date when the panels were painted (summer, year of the earth snake or approx. 1929). The last line contains the signature of the artist, Yu Zhushan, and that the painting is inspired by the style of Yilu Jushi. Age: Republic Period. ...

Beautiful Chinese antique carved jade belt hook, two pieces fit perfectly together with a hook in the form of a chimera's head, each piece is highly carved with chimeras twisting through clouds, each creature is perfectly rendered in three dimensions with pierced details, the jade is a beautiful pale green, 18th/19th century. Total size when fastened: 3 3/4" wide

Pair of 19th Century Chinese cloisonne dogs. Each is laying with head turned with a wonderful open mouthed expressions. Intricate beautiful swirling wire work all over in details in the fur. The original glazing with colors of pink, green, yellow, and black.

Antique Chinese pair of beautiful rosewood cabinets that have been skillfully carved with the image of two mirrored dragons surrounded by smoke motifs on the front doors, lucky bats holding strands of coins with auspicious characters on the sides, and also the Shou symbol between two bats along the bottom panel which doubles as a large drawer. A Chinese ruyi scepter carved from beautiful zitan wood, a symbol of good fortune used in Buddhist ceremonies. "Ruyi" directly translates into "as you wish". It has been ornately carved with lingzhi mushrooms on the head and running down the curved handle, which ends in a gnarled root form. High quality carve work.
