Large hand carved natural wood Mongolian alter shrine. 5 drawers used for storage and 3 open compartments for displaying prominent religious pieces. The bottom has one small opening door and two "secret" hidden sliding panels on either side. Beautiful natural rustic look and feel..

Chinese antique lattice and glass door cabinet, beautiful geometric pattern grillwork, old flower basket design on bronze fittings, nice finish, size: 72.75"H 38.25"W 17.75"D, Ching Dynasty, late 19th century.

Antique Japanese tall gyosho bako (merchant's box), made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood, top door opens to 6 small interior drawers and bottom door opens to 4 small interior drawers, all drawers of different sizes, iron hardware with locks and unusual hooks, chrysanthemum shaped hardware in corners, rings on sides for tying ropes as this piece would have originally been made to be carried. Edo Period (late 18th/early 19th century). Size: 33 3/4" high x 11 3/4" wide x 22" deep.

Antique Chinese wardrobe cabinet, made with nice hardwood paneling and inlaid with light boxwood carved scenes depicting scholarly figures in a garden like setting with animals in the trees, calligraphy inlaid on upper portion of each door panel, 19th century. Unusual Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) with kannon biraki doors (hinged doors), made of kiri (paulownia) wood, safe box on right side has another single hinged door and two small interior drawers, 5 drawers, beautiful iron hardware with chrysanthemum shaped lock plates on doors and warabite shaped drawer pulls, Edo Period, mid 19th century. Size: 31" high x 31 3/4" wide x 13" deep.

A wooden sculpture carved from a single block of wood of kannon or kwan yin. The work takes inspiration from the 6th century image at Horyuji temple in Ikaruga, Nara. Jimbo Yutaka (1923~) is known throughout Japan for his wooden sculptures and has done numerous exhibitions. The work comes with a tomobako with the inscription of the title of the work and the artist's signature and seals. The work also contains a signature by the artist. Antique Japanese cloisonne vase with a Chinese archaic style decoration of dragons and other stylized animals on a variegated green ground. There are two decorative bands, one around the neck and one around the body. Silver mark and Ando mark on bottom. It measures 12" tall the base is 5" wide the mouth is 7" wide. Original wooden box (tomobako).

A fairly large Korean style Buddhist painting portraying the image of the Water Moon Avalokitesvara or Suwol Gwaneum in Korean. The Avalokitesvara is dressed in vestments and accessories common to the figure of a Bodhisattva and has the water vessel which offers blessings to all sentient beings. The bodhisattva is attended by a boy figure known as shan nanzi who often seen in pictorial and textual depictions in East Asian Buddhism. Age: 20th century. Size: height 105.5" width 53"

Beautiful Japanese bronze vase of baluster shape with a dark patina. The body has a scene in relief of blossoming branch with a bees' nest and bees with gold inlaid eyes. Signed vase. Age: Meiji Period). Size: 13.625" H x 6.25" D.

An unusual hira natsume decorated with motifs of a cicada, dragonfly, spider, snail, cricket, and frog. A few insects are closely associated with the various seasons. For example, the cicada and snail are summer insects, the dragonfly and cricket are autumn. In addition, the insects have allusions to zen and Japanese philosophies. Chinese cinnabar lacquer box in the form of a lobed squash or fruit with stem for handle, deeply carved with intricate scenes of flowers and butterflies, interior is lacquered black.

Chinese Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - A.D. 220) bronze lidded censor, round form, on three legs, incised characters on both front and back sides, handles on either side, beautiful patina, sits on beautifully carved hardwood stand made later during the 19th century. Total size: 6 3/4" high x 8 1/4" wide including handles. Bronze alone is 6 1/4" high

Large Japanese porcelain baluster vase, decorated all over with beautiful scenes of mountains and waterfalls, pavilions peek through trees and boat sail on water. The shoulders of the vase are painted with mountain peeks in green and blue and swirling purple mist. Mark on bottom states that this is Arita ware from the Egami Studio. Taisho Period c1920. Size: 18" high x 11 1/2" wide

Large russeted jade natural formed boulder with interesting variegated coloration on modern wooden base.

Antique Japanese wooden fish jizai, designed for hanging a pot over fire to boil. Has a long iron chain with attached hook running from the tail, through the body, and coming out of the bottom. Very detailed carving showing charring from the fire.

Antique stone snuff bottle with detailed carvings of a two young, smiling Chinese boys, huddled around a bottle-gourd with a small bird. The bottle has a topper, carved in the shape of a flower bud. The kanji in front reads "great luck" while the back reads "four joys". 19th century Size: 2.75" tall, 2.25" wide
