An unusual vintage Japanese Choa tansu with Keyaki burl front hardwood panels. The chest is decorated with highly ornate floral motifs and filigree seen through the iron plating and hardware. Each drawer and compartment has a black lacquered interior. The tansu has side handles for transport. dates from Showa c1950

A Korean hardwood bedside chest made with elm hardwood front doors, decorated by brass plate hinges, a central flower blossom medallion, and brass bat shaped handles. The interior of the chest holds six drawers with brass pulls and dramatic elm wood front panels.

The mystical Dzi beads are implements of ancient Tibetan and other Asian cultures for several hundreds of thousands of years. Dzi beads are believed to hold magical properties bringing prosperity and protection to whomever wore these beads. Antique Chinese apothecary chest. Upper portion has an open display shelf with pierced carved dragons on the sides and a medallion on the back depicting a bird on a blossoming tree branch. The middle portion has 19 drawers, all the same size with the exception of one wider drawer toward the bottom. Each drawer is divided into three sections for storage of medicines and herbs. Antique Chinese low cabinet. The upper portion has two drawers over a compartment opened by two cabinet doors. The doors swing on wooden dowel hinges which seat into small decorative carved peony flowers. The interior of the cabinet has one shelf. The front is finished with a rich red lacquer while the sides and top are a dark, distressed reddish brown lacquer finish.

Chinese large jumu (elm) wood cabinet with natural light finish. The interior is outfitted with shelves for a TV and components. Doors on wooden dowels pocket in for a nice clean appearance. Sliding panels in the back interior allow for cords. Four interior drawers are perfect for storing CDs and DVDs. There are another two drawers on the lower exterior.

Japanese green studio crackle ware vase with applied silver floral motifs. With tomobako. The foot is signed Shofu Katei (1870-1928). Small wear losses.

Shofu Katei was born in 1870 in Seto, Japan. He later moved to Kyoto where has was adopted into the prestigious Shofu family kiln to create Japanese ceramics. In 1908, he set up the Shofu Ceramics Company, Ltd. and was awarded a Green Ribbon in 1915.

Chinese agate carving of a curled lotus leaf. The leaf is delicately and thinly carved and is edged in pierced flowers and vines. The agate stone has natural siena and russet tone areas throughout. Comes with original tripod wood stand.

Chinese agate two piece carving of a lotus leaf and a koi fish. All hand-carved from agate stone, the piece and its base have motifs of leaping fish, waves and lotuses.

Chinese hardstone lidded vase carved with scrolling dragon head handles and freely moving rings. The lid has a pointed finial with natural black pebble coloration. The foot of the container is slightly flared and recessed. The natural pink and grey tones of the stone give the appearance of heavenly clouds, which are traditional motifs associated with dragons.

Chinese monochrome peking glass bowl made of golden amber color glass. The rim flares slightly, the foot shallowly recessed and marked "China".

Antique Japanese Scroll Triptych, signed Sumiyoshi Hirosada (1793-1862) , 7th head of the Sumiyoshi line of painters. Three paintings: One painting is of two men meeting on a mountain path, pines and blossoming plum trees dot the hillside and the rooftops of a fishing village can be seen emerging through the mist. A Sikh Perso-Indian mughal koftgari dagger, decorated with damascene silver handle and sheath with the head of a leopard. The blade is curved and inlaid with silver medallion filigree.

Antique Japanese small tansu chest made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The chest is configured with seven drawers of various sizes: 3 small drawers above 2 medium drawers above 2 large drawers. Black iron hardware includes 7 round lock plates, circular corner bracing and square drawer pulls.

Dimensions: 23 1/4" high x 27" wide x 13" deep.

Chinese monochrome purple peking glass cup and saucer. The glass has a deep purple tone. Both the cup and dish have flared rims and a round, recessed foot.

Pair of Japanese damascene candlesticks, the body of each with dramatic imagery of serpentine dragons and fireballs. The foliate petal rims decorated with chrysanthemums and coiling vines, and the tripod feet with auspicious objects and flowers. Both candlesticks are signed "Kuma" in gilt pigment on the base.
