Antique Chinese fan painting of a dramatic group of various rock formations. The painting is modeled after a painting by Jin Nong (1687–1773) from his Fruits & Flora series. The writing on the upper left hand side of the fan is a poem:

弁山有葉氏大小玲瓏石，
雙井黃家有爛溪，
溪々中石皆爲艺林所重。
余漫意寫之，
落々然如挹高人面目也。

Which translates as: On Bianshan Mountain are Ye's linglongs...

Chinese fan painting of a stand of bamboo growing near a group of moss-covered rocks. A poem written in the upper right hand corner says: 细竹千竿満地 which translates as "A thousand stalks of slender bamboo cover the ground". The seal is a bit hard to make out but appears to read: 鄭 Zhèng. Antique Chinese fan painting with a poem by Song-dynasty poet Lu You. The original poem was written around 1201 when he was 76 and describes local delicacies from the area where he grew up. The fan is signed on the lower left side by 魏惟一 Wèi Wéiyī and seal: 惟一Wéiyī. The old poem translates as the following:

An antique Tibetan traveling trunk made of hand hewn Pine wood. Leather was stretched over the wood and hand painted in polychrome lacquer. There are arrow shaped hard mounts, butterfly appliqué mounts on the corners and Dorje accents. The central panel features an offering tray of Hoju (sacred jewels). Stylized Peonies decorate the trunk and the main colors used were analogous primary hues. The cover of the top features a green water dragon.

Antique Japanese porcelain brush washer and brush rest in the form of Daruma. Derived from BodhiDharma, the monk founder of Zen Buddhism, this is a whimsical and utilitarian object for the scholar's table. After a long meditation, Daruma opens his mouth in a wide yawn, creating the water container portion of the brush washer. He stretches his arms up over his head, his hands together, making a perfect brush rest. Painted wearing his signature red robes, details in black and green.
