An antique hookah stand with birdi (silver inlay). Geometric shapes, trailing branches and a small flowers as a border of the base are silver. Bidri gets its name from the Bidar district of Karnataka. The craft originated in Persia and came to India in the 14th century, flourishing in Bidar under the Bahamani Dynasty. While in Persia, gold and silver were inlaid on steel or copper.

A rare large antique Japanese Karuma Tansu (wheeled chest) made of solid quartered sawn Keyaki (zelkova) wood with hand forged iron hardware and wooden wheels.
