Unusual Indian small bronze Indian votive sculpture of the elephant headed Hindu god Ganesha, known as the Remover of Obstacles, seated on high rectangular base, the most striking feature is the upturned circular movement of his trunk, his hands are also unusual in that they are mitt shaped and bear no attributes, all over black patina, 18th century. Height 3.5" Size: 3" high x 3" wide x 2 5/8" deep.

Indian black schist carving of dancing Ganesha, the elephant headed god (the Remover of Obstacles) stands with his own broken tusk in one hand, and ax in the other, trunk is sampling sweets in upper left hand, just below his lower right hand is his mouse vehicle, white and vermilion traces, beautiful modeling of body, from Uttar Pradesh, 15th century. Beautiful 18th century black stone schist of vishnu with four arms. The arms hold a flower, a talisman with a 5 point star, a chile, and one hand is open palm outward with a dot in the middle. There are two attendants, one on either side. It measures 20" tall by 10" wide. Has metal base 4" deep.

Beautifully embroidered "Goa" priest vestment from india. Goa was a Portuguese colony off the coast of India. It is embroidered with shades of blue, red, pink, yellow, orange, and green. There is a floral scrolling pattern on front and back with smaller flowers.

Indian statue of a jain buddha seated in meditation with hands and feet crossed carved out of white marble. The base has a weathered donatory inscription with a horned bull or possibly a rhino in the middle. If a rhinocerous, the statue would be of Mahavira in the 11th reincarnation. Traces of red pigment. The nose was broken during the muslim invasions of India sometime between the 13th and 16th centuries. From the Mt. Abu region, 15th-16th century. It measures 13"deep, 26" wide 30" tall.

Antique wooden money box from India, made of hardwood with nice grain and original finish with beautiful patina, heavy iron hardware with double hinges on lid, rings on side for transport, 19th century. Size; 11 1/2" high x 19 3/4' wide x 21" deep.

Antique Mandalay Burmese style bronze gilt with silver buddha on a lotus base. The Buddha with earlobes touching shoulders extends his right arm out while the left arm holds his robe aside. The base is rounded. Obtained in Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 19th century. It measures 6.75" toll 3" in diameter at base.
