Korean antique shell inlaid black lacquer ichung nong stacking chest in 3 sections on a footed base. Exquisitely decorated all over with ornate scenes of birds, animals and flowers. The front is decorated with scenes of birds, animals, flowers and plants on the top section. The bottom section is decorated with fish, turtles and plants of both land and water. Large Korean three-level kitchen cabinet (samch'ung ch'an-jang) orange-brown color finish, elm wood panels, iron hardware, top section has 2 small drawers with bat shaped hardware, top compartment opens wide with pair of double hinged doors, bottom compartment has 2 sets of doors opening to two separate compartments, beautiful overall scale and proportions, Chosun Period (c. 1900).
