Antique Japanese set of 7 imari plates, with cobalt blue underglaze phoenix motif accented in gilt, surrounded by a network of various flowers, red and gilt emblems, butterflies, and cobalt blue geometric design along the inner rim. The underside features designs of mon with leaves and tassels, and six character mark in the center of the foot.

Japanese antique transom made of keyaki (elm) wood and carved with a scene of Ushiwaka and Benkei battling on Gojo Bridge in Kyoto. The young samurai, Yoshitsune (also known as Ushiwaka-maru) is depicted in an acrobatic pose, leaping over Benkei, the giant wild-man who was intent on stealing Ushiwaka's sword. Another samurai is carved below them, his much smaller form suggesting he is far below the action...

Japanese antique transom made of keyaki (elm) wood and carved with scenes of samurai warriors. On the left hand side, a general gives orders to his troops (small figures carved in the round) partially behind a camp curtain. On the right hand side, another samurai rides a battle horse and raises his weapon high over his head. All around them are pine branches and swirling mist.

Antique Chinese porcelain vase, of a stylized gourd shape, the neck fluted into a dramatic flared lip with foliate edges. Scenes of playing children in a famille rose glaze color palette and sculpted beast head "handles" at the vase's sides. The large lower portion of the vase body has an inscription with three red chops, tapering into a short flaring foot with slightly recessed base and red four character mark.

Antique Chinese porcelain brush washer, with ocean landscape scenes of boats on the water, and inscription on the backside with red chop. The foot is slightly recessed with unusual red mark. The brush washer is of a round form with flattened base and a wide mouth with a very short lip.

Antique Chinese pair of Large Shiwan ware goddess statues. These wares originated out of kilns in the Shiwanzhen subdistrict within the city of Foshan, going as far back as the Neolithic period. Each goddess mirrors the form of the other, holding a large vase above their heads, on a cloud pedestal with a small deer at their sides as a symbol of longevity. Antique Japanese kannon biraki tansu of an unusual small size, made of Kiri (paulownia) wood. The front of the chest is covered in ornate iron hardware with studs. The central lock is a motif of Kiri leaves with two door pulls. The doors open to a shelved interior space with two exterior drawers below. All original condition.
