Chinese small ruyi scepter, intricately carved with entwining branches of fruiting pomegranate tree, c1950 vintage. Size: 6 3/4" long.

Large Japanese Gigaku demon mask, covered with silver, gold, and bronze lacquer. The colors gold is associated with the underworld, especially when apparent in a demon's eyes. This mask sports long fangs, a stubby ridged nose, and furrowed brow. The inside of the mask has rice paper with kanji signature of the sculpting artist. Tiasho age c1920. A vintage Japanese 2 section Kamo Kimono Tansu chest made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia). All original hardware with maker's name engraved into the main lock plate. Upper section features two large hinged doors behind which are 8 kimono trays for storing textiles. The lower section has 3 drawers for additional spacious storage...

Kazak hand knotted rug made of wool from the middle east. Beautiful central medallion with blue, red and green design on a pale yellow/cream colored ground. The border has unusual medallion shaped design in red with blue, blue with yellow, and light pink with green. It measures 8' by 10'8".

Japanese framed print by artist Tanaka Ryohei, born in 1933 in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture. He has appeared in numerous art exhibits all over the world and his collections may be viewed in many museums such as the Cincinnati Art Museum, Museum of Modern Art San Francisco, and the Shanghai, China Museum. The medium used for this print are copperplate etching with aquatint. Titled "June", dated 1993, signed, and numbered 110/150 in its series in pencil...

Chinese silk rank badge made with bright, beautiful silk threads in blues, purples, greens, and pinks. Lotuses and peonies peek in through the sides of the badge, over a background of geometric patterns in blue silk; Green, blue, purple, and white lights are along the bottom, meeting with blue waves or clouds and auspicious elements in bright pinks and purples; Cherry blossoms, bamboo leaves, and blue geometric patterns outline the badge. Woodblock print by Japanese sōsaku hanga (creative print) artist Rikio Takahashi (1917-1999) titled 'Old Drift'. Takahashi had a very unique style of abstract art. He often avoided primary colors and gravitated towards warm browns, cool blues and greens, typical of the gardens of Kyoto. He used irregular, abstract shapes and overlapping of colors to create beautiful and interesting effects...

A vintage Chinese coffer altar cabinet in the Ming style made entirely of Huanghuali wood including the back and the interior shelves. All original brass square plate and loop handles with a pair of double hinged doors and 3 side by side drawers above. With classic spandrels and apron for the feet. The maker spared no expense using the finest quality materials and joinery craftsmanship in producing this piece.
