Japanese contemporary Kaidon tansu known as a step tansu. Comprised of three sections. Made with solid Keyaki (elm) wood, this tansu will hold many precious things within its various size drawers and compartments. Each compartment opens from both sides, so this Kaidon can be facing either direction. Its doors feature vertical slats to create an interesting contrast of texture and design. The brass hardware adds subtle decoration such as lotus pod backplates with ring pulls and scrolling warabite handles. Overall a very functional and attractive piece.
These piece is 100% reversible and come be used any direction. The drawers and sliders are mirror images of each other on both sides of the piece.
Size: 56.5" L x 18" W x 56" H
