Chinese jade vase carved with blossoming flower branches and birds. Carved of a single jade pebble. The vase portion is a whitish green color and the flowers and birds are carved of the orange outer rind of the jade stone. Highly carved and three dimensional.

Chinese pair of jade cylinders carved with dragons. Each cylinder is made of green and white mottled jade. The dragons float in the sky surrounds by fire, mist and lingzhi shaped cloud forms.

Balinese antique pair of Dwarapala temple guardians. Carved of stone, these figures once guarded a temple entrance, a warning to humans and negative energies not to pass. Their ferocious appearance is a warning that only those with good intentions will be ushered through and guided to ascend a higher path.

A rare large Ainu artisan carved Hokkaido black bear (Higuma) made from one solid piece of Japanese hardwood. Intricate carving to the fur including the underside of the bear. Eyes made of Obsidian. Minor wear.

Large Chinese yellow Peking glass vase. Dramatic baluster form with tall neck and rounded foot. The rim displays how many layers of glass it took to create this vase. The color is a vivid golden/yellow color previously reserved for imperial use.

A Japanese cast bronze Okimono of an octopus moving across the sea floor. Its eight legs and large head depicts this true-to-life mollusc in motion. The two large eyes constantly observe its surroundings ready to shoot its ink at any predator.

Low Korean scholar book chest with dual bi-foldable doors behind which is a spacious book storage area with 4 side by side drawers above. The drawers are decorated with floral Sweet Peas. The doors are decorated in the four seasons with pairs of cranes and turtles symbolizing marital harmony, longevity and wealth. Mother of Pearl over black lacquer creating the micro-mosaic detailed inlay. The sides display a rustic landscape scene...

A 20th Century example of a tradition laos rain drum cast in bronze. Three frogs (12 altogether) on top with a twelve pointed star with continuing concentric circle with stamp decoration. The side has two short vines with a feaf design. snails representing water and fertility.

A globular flared body rises with four attached handles of frog design. Circular concentric pattern continues throughout the top and body with a range of geometric shapes within each one...

Chinese bowl with three dragons in clouds. Glazed a bright green color with delicate crackle effect. Qianlong mark on the bottom.

Vintage Japanese wood carving of the face of Bodhidarma with his fly whisk. Also known as Daruma, the legendary intensity of the monk is expressed in his downturned mouth and heavy eye brows over wide eyes. A popular sign of good fortune for any business. Lacquered details in red, white and black.
