Ayutthaya period Bronze Buddha, Siam, mounted, most likely survived the destruction of this ancient Thai capital by the Burmese in 1767, with some parts of the bronze statue partially melted (see photographs). Strong aura/presence. A very rare item, size excluding base: H. 25 cm. x W. 19 cm. x D. 11 cm. (9.75" x 7.5" x 4.25"), heavy.

Nice Shan States Buddha, wood with gilding, 19th Century, Burma. Bottom of back side of Buddha has a special niche-opening for storing relics. Fine specimen, some inconsequential aging of wood on base, nice overall condition. Size: H. 50cm. x W. 18 cm. D. 15 cm. Rare!

Very handsome and attractive small head of Buddha, GANDHARA, 2-3rd Century, Grey Schist. The youthful face is well defined with handsome features following a classical Hellenistic-Greek style. The crescent shaped hair is toped by a raised ushnisha and a small urna is between the delicately arched eyebrows. The ear has a large pierced lobe. Exceptionally fine and well cast bronze 18th Century Ganesha sculpture from Southern India with many details and a wonderful natural patina, clearly showing Puja (long term worship of object). Very good condition with one tine of trident missing from long ago (not recent loss). Superb specimen and rare because of it's size, i.e. H. 4.5" (11.6 cm.). Provenance: European Private Collection.

Fine Monochrome ZEN ink painting and calligraphy depicting the serene Lord BUDDHA. Signed and with the artist's red seal on rice paper. By Monk Khemananda Bkikkhu, purchased at Gallery exhibition, Bangkok, Thailand, 1981. Size: 21 x 21 cm., sold without frame. Rare Serpentine-Jade Bird Feeder from China. Fine condition and very good color. Size: H. 1 1/8" x W. 2" including ring which enables locking the bowl securely by inserting a small bamboo stick through the holes on the outside of the bird cage.

Very serene Lacquer SHAN STATE Buddha Head with traces of gilding. Hollow, mounted on removable temporary base. Ushnisha-Flame also removable and probably from a later date. Very good condition. Very rare and fine JIN DYNASTY Terracotta Tomb Brick Panel depicting a festive male drummer with flowing robes playing the waist drum (1115-1234 A.D), China. The waist drum with it's hourglass shape and cloth covering was tied to the players waist to allow him to move freely, without hindrance. It was an instrument of choice for dancers. Rare and slender Silver/Paktong Opium Pipe, QING Dynasty. The damper/bowl is in the shape of a poppy/opium bulb and is held by a hand. This hand holding the bulb/damper has a very distinct double fish engraved on it's base which in Feng Shui is the symbol of wealth, abundance and attracting good luck (see photograph #4). Finely sculptured Ganesha bronze from West India, 17th Century, surrounded by a stylized aura ring, topped by a divine protective head and a beautiful engraved lotus flower base.
