Here is a Washington- and Masonic-themed spoon which is marked STERLING F.A. WHELAN. Both sides of the bowl, the hilt, and the tip are gold washed. It has a lot of Masonic symbolism incorporated into the design. The dates on the spoon handle (1732-1799) are the birth and death dates for George Washington, who was a Mason. By its hallmarks, it was made in London during 1768-1769. The maker’s mark is a script “BB”. It measures 8-1/2" x 1-3/4", and weighs approximately 56g. So beautiful! Fully marked including dated maker’s stamp, retailer’s stamp (JE Caldwell), and no. 772S. Very good condition.

Overlay in form of dense leafing scrollwork and flowers; asymmetrical scrolled cartouche engraved with interlaced script monogram. Silver fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. R387. Very good condition.

Tapering socket with detachable bobeche. Ribboned swags. Fine fluting that shimmers in candlelight. Fully marked including maker's stamp, pattern no. 19187 (first produced in 1916), director’s letter m, and phrase “Reproduction Original by John Parsons & Co. Sheffield 1784”. Very good condition.
