A wonderful set of six Victorian silverplate napkin rings. The outsides are decorated with two cherubs grasping baroque reserves framed with swirls of acanthus leaves, pendant bellflowers and other ornate decorative devices. The insides are brightly gilt. It is very unusual to find a complete matching set of Victorian napkin rings.

Origin: probably American, circa 1890. Condition: all original, no monograms, normal wear the the plating on the insides and outsides...

Six assorted sterling demitasse spoons including a decorative Gorham spoon with a cherub(see photo #4 and bottom spoon in photo #2), c. 1870-1920. They are each marked "STERLING" and "GORHAM mark, TOWLE FONTANA, 1891 C.L. RUTH & SON, hallmarks". They range in length from 3 7/8" to 4 1/4". Each has a different design, two with cherubs(Gorham and another), floral, two border, and one with initials. Excellent condition...

An unusually nice silverplated studs box, the top decorated with repousse chrysanthemums. The only clue to the box’s purpose of holding a gentleman’s shirt studs and cufflinks is the figural stud finial on the top. The bottom is marked for the Middletown Plate Co. This is a much more decorative example than most.

Origin: America, 1876-99. Condition: excellent, hardly any wear to the plating. Size; 2-5/8” diameter; 1-3/4” tall.

A set of six sterling silver demitasse or coffee spoons in Gorham's early (1870) "Swiss" pattern. The design is similar to Gorham's other early sterling patterns, with a decidedly classical decoration of anthemion leaves. The bowls have a matte finish which contrasts nicely with the handles. The backs are engraved with a period 3-letter monogram "LBE". The backs are marked with Gorham's early hallmarks.

Elegant sterling silver footed basket with flaring, reticulated sides and a hoop handle. The swirling pattern of the piercing echoes the basket's scalloped rim. The top of the handle has a reserve for a monogram, but was never monogramed. The bottom has Durgin's early hallmark and the retailer's mark "Hodson, Kennard & Co." Many of Durgin's earlier products were sold through such upscale Boston retailers.

This is a STERLING ART NOUVEAU CLOTHES BRUSH from an Eastern Shore Maryland Estate. Dimensions of this ANTIQUE piece: 1 1/2" wide X 6 1/4" long X 1 5/8" including the Brush. Very rare sterling silver oyster ladle in Whiting's classic 1880 "Bead" pattern. The simplicity of the handle decoration is relieved by the ruffled edge of the bowl. It's simplicity enables the pattern to work with a wide range of other American Colonial-inspired patterns. The oyster ladle form is quite rare, as only the most complete silver services ever had such serving pieces. Hallmarked with Whiting's early hallmark and "Pat Appd For" (indicating an early date).

A Sterling Silver Pierced Nut or Bon Bon Spoon by R. Wallace & Sons in the "Princess Pat" pattern of 1914. It is 4.5" in length and has a monogram "D" in script.

A Sterling Silver Pierced Tomato Server by Reed & Barton in the "Hepplewhite" pattern, patented in 1907. It is gold washed at the serving end, and is 6" long. There is a monogram that appears to be LB in an intertwined script.

Superb early Gorham lady’s purse, the exterior decorated in the Aesthetic taste. The surface is matte-finished and accented with areas of matte-finished and glossy parcel gilding. Each side features a triangular area of engraving representing what appears to be a bough of olive branches with olives. The purse’s beveled edges are glossy and are decorated simply with rows of bright-cut engraving...

A Gorham Sterling Silver Sauce or Gravy Ladle in the "New Tip't" pattern, patented in 1871 and dating from shortly after. It is 5.75" in length and the bowl is 2" x 2". There is a single letter monogram on the handle (see picture) and the condition is excellent.

This is Heavy Gauge STERLING SILVER and looks to have been little used; forks show tine wear but that is the only wear seen on this SILVER.
