A lovely set of three pewter measuring mugs for quarter, Pint and 1/2 pint, England, 18th.-19th. century.

Scarce as a complete set in this quality with brass rims and profusely inscribed with owners names and fine pewter touchmarks. The Quarter mug (1 quart Imperial capacity) is quite large and would probably have contained nearly a liter liquid. Brass rim measures are considered to have been used to measure shell fish and dry produce, though.

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with two soldiers, one holding a sword, the other soldier a helbard, on either side of a Free Masons symbol of crossed tools under an elaborate crown. Cover raised with leaf-capped vasiform finial in pointille and pendant flower surround as well as engraved armorial. Beading. Elegant Georgian Neoclassicism. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A lovely completely intact tablesize bronze presentation cannon og signal cannon, ca. late 17th.- early 18th. century AD:

A fine piece with the barrel engraved with floral scroll-works, perhaps of French manifacture. As quite unusual and remarkable, the original bronze carriage is completely intact with the same terrific old brown and green patina (perhaps once burried?).

He was born in Kassel, apprenticed to Iohann Gottfried Hilpert, and started working as a master metalsmith in Nuremberg in 1786. A lovely early North-European bronze tripod Pan, dating to the 17th.-18th. century AD.

An early type of Scandinavian bronze or bell-metal pan for open fire with three legs and a closed handle. Later crude owners initials and dating to 1806. This particular alloy and type dates to c. 1690-1720.

The pan with wonderful patina, extensive wear and numerous repairs from the time of use.

A superb antique Danish mortar in beautiful early brass alloy, dating to the reign of Christian VII (1766-1806), this mortar dates early in his reign, c. 1770-1790.

A beautiful brass mortar with a corrosponding pestle, very decorative and a nice antique for both display and kitchen use. Note the fine baroque details and the nice coat of arms and makers marks in the bottom. The pestle displays some remnants of having been intensely decorated

Antique, late 18th century, Polish cavalry sword with steel hilt, of typical form for the swords of the KaWaleria Narodowa, comprising a large, plain steel guard, a back-strap, and a wooden grip covered in leather with ribbed pattern, and a long slightly curved sturdy and solid steel blade cut with full-length fuller.

The swords with this type of a large plain steel guard appeared in Poland in the last quarter of the 18th century...

Well center has lozenge with engraved interlaced script monogram in leafing and flowering scroll support. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A large and impressive baroque pewter Chalice with lid, made in Germany dated 1724 / ANNO 1733!

With a large inscription in fine writing and here dated ANNO 1733 by the owner, but on the stamps inside the lid, the maker has dated it 1724. Maker is 'Morten Muhlhiesen Smidt' - the original note with a detailed description of the maker etc. in German comes with the sale.

The inscription is a gift inscription perhaps Guild related, to an Andreas Nitchke from Johann Michel Beck...

A Fine Georgian English Silver Claret Jug or Wine Ewer, with a Grape Vine and Leaf Pattern on the Body and a Twig Handle. The Hallmark is London, 1788. The Maker Mark is not clear, but it is probably George Gray. It weighs 20.9 Troy ounces and the dimensions are 12" high and 6.5" spout to handle and 4" at the base. In very good condition.
