A lovely sterling silver powder box by Gorham. The entire body and matching lid are covered in repousse decoration of swirling acanthus leaves. The sides flare out in an elegant curve that is continued in the lid which rises to point in the middle. The bottom is hallmarked with Gorham’s old mark, the pattern number “670” and the date mark for 1890.

Rare English, circa 1824, footed Georgian christening mug with a foliate capped double scroll handle. The body is chased and embossed with rose and leaf motif. In excellent condition, it measures about 3 3/8th high b 2 3/4" diameter at the mouth. Hallmarked.

This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high. Condition is near perfect.

German silver figural dog stirrup cup, ca 1920. Cast bust of spaniel with long snout, resolutely closed mouth, and direct, concentrated gaze as well as floppy ears and thick fur. Mounted to plain and upward tapering bowl. A loyal hunt companion. Marked with maker’s stamp “Föhr” (probably, Eduard Foehr) and old-fashioned “13” (that is, 13/16 loths or 812 silver). A Thomas Hawkes Diamond Cut Crystal Cocktail Pitcher, with a Silver Rim by Stone Stirling Silver Co. (1896-1903). Hawkes was the Co-founder, in 1903, of Steuben Glass Works. Circa 1900. Dimensions; 8.5". Some minor dimples on the silver, but in excellent condition overall.

This silver plate Meriden Britania Co. Number 202 napkin ring is a long tailed bird resting upon the stem of a large leaf,its tips creating the feet. The banded napkin ring holder has in its center a leaf design with the space for engraving. This space is engraved "Ella" very lightly and very small. The Japanning shows some wear and there is a bump to the side of the ring. It is hallmarked "Meriden" in a circle. Lots of detailing on this item.

A sterling silver cherubs brush mirror & comb set 1890 to 1900. This wonderfully ornate Victorian period set consists of the 10" x 3-7/8" mirror, the 9-3/8" x 2-1/2" brush with natural bristles, and the 7-5/8" long comb. Each is hallmarked for Birmingham, England and they have the Thomas Hayes maker's mark; the brush year hallmark is 1890, the comb year hallmark is 1898 and the mirror year hallmark is 1900...

Outstanding sterling silver master salt spoon in a rococo pattern by Gorham. I have not been able to put a name to this assymetrical pattern, although it is very similar to "Marie Antoinette" and "Dresden". The bowl is parcel gilt. The reverse is marked with Gorham's old hallmark.

Very rare sterling silver oyster ladle in Whiting's classic 1880 "Bead" pattern. The simplicity of the handle decoration is relieved by the ruffled edge of the bowl. The oyster ladle form is quite rare, as only the most complete silver services ever had such serving pieces. Hallmarked with Whiting's early hallmark and "Pat Appd For" (indicating an early date).

Just incredible! This lovely Duhme Victorian Sterling Silver Ladle dated October 10, 1864, with spiral stem and engraved hamdle, is exquisite. The cartouche is engraved with "Hannah" The ladle measures 11.5 inches long with a generous bowl 3 3/4 inches wide. It weighs 4 ounces. A magnificent piece in excellent condition.

A very fine berry or casserole spoon in John R. Wendt's "Medallion" pattern. The handle features an oval reserve centered with a medallion profile of the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The elongated bowl is beautifully scalloped. The back of the medallion has a period monogram "A" and the stem is marked with the retailer's mark for Ball, Black & Co. and with "925" for sterling. Wendt did not use his own hallmark in this period.
