A very unique 14 sided paperweight with an interior sculpture having a latticino base supporting stranded cage housing a green glass bubble. Its quality workmanship is accented by the beveled edges on the top and bottom. In excellent condition and unsigned. Please note that the glass is slightly yellow, due in large measure tot he yellow glass rods. Our images suggest a clearer brighter glass, but that is not the case when viewed in normal light. This set of 6 porcelain dessert plates was produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin in 1918. The black cross denotes this specific year. The plates have a diameter of 8 3/4 inches. Measuring 20" long x 6" high x 3" deep, this circa 1850, wonderful and quite fancy, completely hand-forged iron utensil or clothing rack sports 5 hooks for hanging. It features the ornate and unusual double ram's ear design which adds to its visual appeal - a true work of 19th century blacksmith art with utilitarian purpose.

Condition is very good with excellent patina- the natural pitting and hammer marks commensurate with a hand-forged piece. No rusting...

Very unusual glass paperweight from the New England Glass Company. The weight is worked in a patriotic theme with shards of red, white and blue opaque glass rods making up the scrambled design--possibly in celebration of America's centennial in 1876. The center of the setup is punctuated with a large icepick bubble--a technique I have never seen used in an American scrambled weight. There is also a rare silhouette cane of a pine tree. This porcelain bowl was produced in Germany by Donath Dresden in the 1890s. It measures 10 1/2 inches long, 7 inches high and 6 inches wide. There are reticulated borders around the edge of the bowl and around the edge of the foot. It is elaborately decorated with brilliantly colored sprays of hand painted flowers. Outstanding brass match holder the pocket formed in the shape of a shield and punch-decorated in a stars and stripes pattern. The pocket is surmounted by a punch-decorated American eagle underneath the motto “In God We Trust”. This motto was adopted in 1863 as a subtle government reminder during the Civil War that God was on the side of the Union troops fighting to end the evil of slavery. The backplate has a punchwork border and also a hole for hanging.

This majolica jardinière was produced in Europe in the late 19th century. There are no identifying marks. The piece is 10 inches high and 9 inches in diameter. It stands on three feet. A very nice child size red, white and blue checked bonnet. It has the cardboard stays that are removable so the bonnet can be washed. I like this feature because you can hang the bonnet on a peg rack so much easier without the stays. It is in good condition it just one spot at the very top of the brim...see picture. A Russian gold (12 or 14 carat) elasticized bracelet. The center of the bracelet displays the shape of a flower made with half pearls and an emerald is located in the center. Made circa 1800-1810. The original jewelry case is included.
Measurement: Flower: 0.98" (2.5 cm) diameter, and the bracelet is 0.78" (2 cm) in wide.

Royal Copenhagen cup and saucer with gold trimming. The cup is adorned with a crown and a calligraphy design. Both cup and saucer are stamped with the maker's mark of Royal Copenhagen. The saucer is 5 inches in diameter and the cup is 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height.

This particular piece is a very unique, stone prayer tablet. It is difficult to date but stylistically could be as early as the Five Dynasties period (907-960 AD). These tablets were often found in conjunction with the ceramic offering vessels from Yunnan. The tablets would accompany the offering vessels and would sometimes comprise an enclosure for the offering vessels. (See trocadero item number 797164 for an example of the offering vessel). This particular piece is quite large - roughly 16 in...
