This ceramic bowl was produced in France by Longwy in the late 19th century. It is not signed, but the workmanship and style of the bowl are characteristic of the Longwy factory. It measures 5 1/4 inches across the top and 3 1/4 inches high. The bowl is 3-lobed and stands on 3 little feet. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. There are pink and blue carnations with foliage surrounding the entire bowl. All of the decoration is incised and colored with bright enamels...

This porcelain place card holder was produced in Italy by Capodimonte in the late 19th century. It is 3 3/4 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The back is molded like branches into a tripod. The front has naked putti in high relief, making mischief. They are hand painted. Condition: Excellent

A very good Classic Period glass paperweight with a pinchbeck design. The scene depicts the "Descent from the Cross" and shows two centurions, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus taking the body from the cross while Mary weeps at Jesus' feet. The pinchbeck insert is finished in a silver tone rather than the more common gold. The crystal dome is of very good quality, with excellent clarity and good optical magnification to highlight the detail of the scene...

This porcelain two piece stamp box was produced in France by Tressemann & Vogt in the 1890s. The box is 4 1/4 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches high, including the handle. The box has the artist’s initials on the bottom. The porcelain blank was sold white ware and decorated by a studio artist. There are three compartments inside the box to hold stamps. The ground color shades from mint green to almost white. There are vibrantly colored roses tumbling across the top of the box...

A simple but elegant brandy warmer with beaded lid and base rims, the thumb rest on the lid molded as a scallop shell, the angled handle of aged wood with a nice patina.

The piece is 3 3/8" tall, and 2 7/8" wide, 5 1/8" wide including the handle. Excellent condition.

This marvelous piece of ancient pottery is an offering vessel, sometimes referred to as a "spirit jar", from roughly the Five Dynasties period (907-960 AD) of Classic Imperial China. These intriguing vessels first appeared to Western collectors around the turn of the century and were quite a delightful find. Appearing in the ruins of a long forgotten monastery near Kunming, hundreds of these jars were discovered in several sites in Yunnan...

Vue d'une Ancienne Abbaye Staffordshire historical plate by Enoch Wood. Circa 1825. This pearlware plate is decorated in a dark blue transfer and is from the "French series." It has a grape vine border and bears on the back the pottery's factory impressed mark WOOD as well as the pattern name in an underglaze blue stamp. Size: 9" diameter. Condition: Very good with a couple of very small pin sized flecks to the glaze and some fine crazing.

A Very Large and Heavy Sterling Silver Tray, in the Victorian Manner, by E G Webster of New York. Dimensions; 20" in diameter x 1.5" in height; over 7.5 pounds (110+ounces)in weight. With the Webster sterling mark of a fleur-de-lis, crown, and lion (the tray was tested for silver). From the last quarter of the 19th century. Some surface scratches, but in excellent condition.

A vintage Arts and Crafts 4-3/8" high small pitcher in genuine pigeon blood glass c1910. This pitcher features a clear applied handle, a rough pontil, and textured surfaces. An elegant sterling silver trumpet vase with an opaque glass liner by either Jenkins or Armiger for F. Bucher & Sons. This silver is ornately decorated wthroses, forget-me-nots, wild roses, chamomiles and daises against a stippled background. Bucher was a retailer who stamped wares with his own mark, even though they were actually made by Jenkins, Armiger, Schofield or other leading Baltimore silversmiths of the day...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1891. The date cipher indicates this year. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of translucent bone china. The cup has a puffy, quatrefoil shape with a handle that looks like rope. The set is decorated with an Imari type pattern taken from the Japanese. Cobalt blue and rust colored red are the main colors in the floral and geometric design...

French Sevres porcelain urn-form vase in a cobalt glaze, decorated with ornate ormolu mounts and a bronze cherub holding a dove. 19th century. The vase had once been converted into a lamp. Size: 24.25 inches ht. x 12.5 inches wide x 9 inches deep. Very nice condition, no chips or cracks or breaks.
