This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality crossed swords under glaze. The plate is 8 inches in diameter and 1 3/8 inches deep. The plate has a delicate reticulated border. the center of the plate has a intricate pattern of pink blossoms known as “pink onion or Indian pink”. The stylized flowers are accented with gold. A rare dedicated souvenir "Turban Shell" (Latin: Turbo Marmoratus) hand engraved, onboard ship, "with a penknife" by C H Wood. This is a fabulous Victorian sterling ladies’ card case for that special collector, marked "sterling and "W&H" for the well-known New York silversmiths Wood & Hughes. The shaped case, with an attachment for a chain, has beautiful foliate engraving surrounding a central cartouche with the name "Hettie" and "1876" in the center; a Victorian heart is engraved on the reverse. Condition: very good with minor nicks; hinged lid snaps closed evenly. Measurement: 3.50 in long. x 2.50 in. wide

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1890s. It is made of bone china and has molded decorations and an ornate handle. The decoration is known as “Spanish Lace”. Fine gilding is accented with raised enamel beading and hand painted flowers. The pattern covers the entire surface of both pieces. A pair of porcelain plates with a maroon and gilt border and complex bouquet of flowers in the center. Hand painted. On the back in a printed scroll, "ED. HONORE" and address, Boulevard Poissoniere Number 6. The mark is the same as the mark on the china that the company provided for the White House in 1846/47 to President Polk. 8 and 3/4 inches (22 cm) diameter.

An absolutely delightful bronze calling card tray, the center designed with a small frog atop a traditional baroque-style wave. The top edge of the dish has a wonderful scene of four frogs riding big-wheel bicycles along a road. They have quite good balance, as all have their arms crossed. The lead frog is even smoking a pipe. Road markers reading “2Km” and “3Km” mark their progress...

This porcelain trembleuse chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Bohemia by Carl Knoll in the 1880s. The saucer is 5 ¼” in diameter. The cup with lid is 5 ½ “ high and 5” across the handles. The set is hand painted with Watteau scenes on the lid, the cup and the saucer. The hand gilding of fish scale design, was a laborious process. There are additional accents of rich gilding and trim. The finial on the lid is a flame and the handles are Meissen style split branch handles...
