Offered is this early Handel reverse-painted, 'chipped-ice'-shade lamp. The shade is signed, 'HANDEL 3157' with the artist's initials, 'R. g' (painted by either of Handel artists: R. Gillern or Robert Goodwin) - see pictures. The base is marked, 'B & H' (not to be confused with Bradley & Hubbard), which is an exceptionally rare early Handel mark (please refer to the 'handellamps.com' website) - see second-last picture. Offered is this beautiful, iridescent glass vase, made by Loetz around 1902 - the vase is in their 'Medici' (Phanomen Genre 2/484) decor. Beautiful colors - the base-glass is in their 'Bronce' (bronze) coloration. The vase has four dimples just below the top-rim. It is 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) tall and 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) wide at the shoulders. It is in fine condition (there is an insignificant tool-mark that occurred during fire-polishing the rim during fabrication - see fourth picture)...

A nice example of an antique scrambled glass paperweight by the New England Glass Company. The set-up contains a colorful variety of complex canes, filigree and twists in a nicely compact grouping. There are least three complex canes with white eagle silhouettes against a field of dark purple. There are no annealing problems and few bubbles in the set-up. The glass of the dome has good color and clarity. The bottom is concave with a basal ring.

Origin: America, ca. 1865...

A fine pair of American brilliant cut glass candlesticks signed “Libbey.” The stems and candle sockets are cut in Libbey’s “Plain Flute” pattern. The foot is decorated in an unequal radiant star pattern. The stems are spectacular! Each has not one, but four air bubbles that are twisted about each other in a spiral pattern extending the full length of the stem...

A beautiful glass vase with 'chariot decor', made most likely by Moser. The vase is 8 1/4 inches (21 cm) tall and 6 inches (15 cm) wide at the top. It is in good condition (some flea-bites at bottom-rim from usage). The vase is artist-signed, Brandt'. Unsigned, but made most likely by Moser - usage of gold and platinum in the decor is a particular Moser trait.

Beautiful set of jeweled glass finger-bowl and under-plate, made most likely by Moser. The bowl is 5 1/4 inches (13,5 cm) wide and 2 1/4 inches (6 cm) high. The under-plate is 5 3/4 inches (14 cm) wide and 3/4 inches (2 cm) high. Both are in fine condition (some expected usage scratches on under-plate). Unsigned, as expected.

Beautiful Peachblow glass Pair - these were souvenirs sold at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. The glass pear is 5 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The glass is in fine condition.

Offered is this beautiful cameo glass vase, with a 'Tulips' motif, made by Galle around 1900. The vase is 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) tall and 5 inches (12,5 cm) wide at its widest. Signed, 'Galle', in cameo (see picture). Polished pontil. It is in fine condition.

A black lacquered papier mâché wine coaster, the sides enhanced with an unusual gilt pattern of stylized grape leaves and tendrils along with thistles. The decoration is in excellent condition, with a nice warm patina.

Origin: England, ca. 1800. Condition: excellent; normal crackling to the interior; no structural problems; gilding intact. Dimensions: diameter, 13.4 cm (5-1/4 in); height, 4.8 cm (1-7/8 in).

A Gorham sterling silver miniature chamber stick or candle holder dated 1891. This Victorian era ornate chamberstick stands 1-5/8" high and it measures 3-3/8" across the base. It is stamped with the lion/anchor/G mark, along with STERLING 181 and the year cypher for 1891. Although a dainty size, these small candle holders sat on a writing deak or in a travel writing desk, as they had the practical use of melting sealing wax for an envelope or document. It weighs 41.6 grams...

A well potted round covered box with underglaze blue decoration and extensive gilt outlining of the pattern of a bird in a bush. The Meissen crossed swords mark on the bottom is typical of the late 19th century. There is also in underglaze blue the number 46, which is probably the identification of the painter of the scene. Height 2 ½ inches, diameter 3 ½ inches (6 by 9 centimeters).

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very slight gilding wear...

A pair of candlesticks with a dark blue ground decorated with gilt insects and raised beaded rings. Though unmarked this is a color and decoration that was made by Masons from about 1815 to 1825. 8 inches tall and 5 inches diameter at the base. (20 cm tall and 13 cm diameter at base).

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Gilding wear around edges and some scratches around the base, probably from scraping off wax.

These are very elegant and no doubt the insects were painted ...

A commemorative plaque carved with oak from the barque (three masted sailing ship) the Mary Moore which operated as a tea clipper until the end of the 19th Century. The Mary Moore was built by Stephen & Sons (Glasgow) in 1868 and was registered in Maryport, Cumberland, North West England. In 1887 she was re-fitted and her hull was clad with metal.
