A pair of oval dishes with godrooned borders, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white with decoration of flowers in underglaze blue. Made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Ronda was the most popular Tournai pattern, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory closed down. Width "10 ½ / 26.5 cm. Condition: firing crack and two little nicks to underside of rim of one dish (cf. pics).

This porcelain jardinière was produced in France by Bernardaud & Co. Limoges between 1900 and 1914. The porcelain was sold white ware to a studio artist to be decorated later. The artist’s signature is in the decoration. The jardinière is approximately 12 inches in diameter and 8 1/2 inches high. It is hand painted with brightly colored chrysanthemums in art nouveau style. The ground color is mint green that shades from lighter to a bit darker from top to bottom...

This set of 6 porcelain pot de crèmes, or hot chocolate cups, was produced in France before 1870. They are unmarked as much of Paris porcelain is. They are 4 1/2 inches high and have a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The lids have a flower bud molded into the porcelain which serves as the finial. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain. This demitasse set, consisting of a pot with lid, covered sugar bowl, cream pitcher and tray was produced in France by Legrand Limoges in the late 19th century. The set has an under glaze and stamped mark indicating that it was decorated in the factory. The tray measures 12 1/2 inches long and 9 3/4 inches wide. This pair of porcelain plates was produced in France in the late 19th century. They are 10 inches in diameter. They have hand painted portraits of Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI. There is an artist’s signature "Garnier" on each one. The borders are celeste blue which are decorated with ornate raised gilding. These plates are highly decorative and will display beautifully. They are in excellent condition.

This 11 piece dessert plate set was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. They have double markings indicating this period. The set consists of one serving plate and 10 smaller plates. The large plate is 10 inches across the handles and the small dishes are 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The serving plate has pierced handles. Each piece has an apricot colored band around the rim. The decoration is a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by a Paris manufacturer in the 1880s. It has a spurious Sevres mark on the bottom. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ¾ inches and the cup is 2 ¼ inches high. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. There are reserves on the front of the cup and two on the saucer containing hand painted scenes. The front of the cup has a lovely couple in a forest landscape. This porcelain perfume bottle with stopper was produced in France in the mid 19th century. It has some impressed letters and numbers but they are not legible. The style of the gilding and the lady’s dress are typical of the mid 19th century and so this would be considered “Paris Porcelain.” It is similar to porcelain produced by Sevres. A nicely decorated and shaped platter with 12 sides (the form known in France as a douze pans). This type of platter with a bust and scrolling decoration is typical of Moustiers, though the attribution to the Clerissy factory as stated on the stuck-on label on the back is less certain. The dimensions are 13 5/8 inches (35 cm) long, 10 inches (25 cm) wide and 1 ¼ inches 2.5 cm) tall.

Superb early hinged porcelain box with gilt brass trim. The top of the box is painted with a colorful scene of a pheasant in a pastoral setting with foliage, pink flowers and a lake. The bottom half of the box is painted in a coordinating pattern. Boxes such as this were used to hold small candies called “bonbons”. The best of the boxes were made in France, both in Limoges and in the area around Paris, from the middle of the 18th century.

A stunning hand painted porcelain bowl with a gold trimmed scalloped rim was made by the Tressemann & Vogt company in Limoges, France between 1892-1907. Artist signed, the design, use of gold throughout, and selection of colors from the rich royal blue band with contrasting orange flowers to the band of blush along the rim is just fabulous. Measures 9.5" diameter x 4.5" high.
