This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Austria by Ernst Wahliss around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The set is quatrefoil in shape. The porcelain is highly translucent. It is decorated with delicate gilding, matte gold and shiny gold, reminiscent of Russian enamel work. A superb quality very large pottery figure of a male attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.

The figure is placed on a high hexagonal plint and wears a fine two-colour blue and turquoise glazed robe. The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details.

The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period.

The figure holds his masters Ming hat in his arms...

An oval English porcelain sugar bowl with the lid and body decorated with blue and magenta bell flowers growing out of gilt plants. The flowers circle both the lid and the body, which has molded ring handles (not working) at the end of the long sides. The knop on the lid is elaborately gilt. Unmarked, but certainly English and from the first quarter of the 19th century. 6 inches tall by 6 inches long by 5 inches wide.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs...

Very fine early Staffordshire child's cup decorated with a pair of colorful roosters. The design was hand-colored over a rudimentary sepia-colored transfer. The pearlware glaze has a wonderful lustre. The bottom edge of the cup is decorated with a molded border.

Origin: England, ca. 1830. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks, light glaze crazing in interior bottom. Size: 2-7/8" tall; 3-1/8" diameter excluding handle.

This porcelain casket was produced in Italy in the late 19th century by Capodimonte. It measures 11 1/2 inches long, 7 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches high. It has a gilt metal frame with hinges and a latch to close it. The porcelain is molded with high relief scenes and ornamentation. Greek gods, nude figures, cherubs and animals cover the surface. It even has dolphins. They are done in bright, colorful enamels. The casket is profusely gilded. It is in excellent condition.

Gorgeous Qing Dynasty Chinese export porcelain vase with Rose Medallion enameled decoration. The body has a beautiful white color and intricate painted decoration of peonies, quince fruit, waterlilies, butterflies and birds. The foot, rim and shoulder are decorated with enameled flowers against a gilt background. The shoulder border is punctuated with reserves framing peony blossoms.

A underglaze blue hand painted blue and white export plate depicting three sprigs of flowers enclosed in a lobed border with fleur- de-lis and on the outer border a loosely painted fence. The outer edge is painted brown. Given the vague Western references in the decoration the plate is probably after 1750. 8 7/8th inches (22.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very minor stacking wear. Minor firing flaws.
