A wonderful hexagonal shaped ironstone flow mulberry covered dish with handles, often times called a vegetable dish, in the Jeddo pattern by William Adams and Sons, c. 1850. The dish and lid are structurally sound but there are a few condition defects to note. On the underside of the lid, there are 2 very shallow chips. On the underside of the foot, there are also 2 chips - 1 very small and the other about 1/4". We show pictures of all defects...

As mentioned for other similar items on the site, this type ware is often mistakenly referred to as Leeds and featheredge. In reality, many factories other than Leeds made items of this nature, and the type edge here is more properly called a molded edge. This particular plate was made by Riley, and is indicated as such with an impressed mark on the back. Being able to identify the maker does increase the value to some extent...

A fine little dish in what is often called Leeds feather edge. Accurately speaking, this is not a true Leeds feather edge piece, but is an English pearlware pickle leaf dish with blue edge decoration. The terms Leeds and feather edge are, unfortunately, generally misused to describe any piece of pottery with a decorated edge...

An English creamware mug probably either Yorkshire or Staffordshire elaborately decorated with a brown body on which is painted in green black and yellow a very stylized house with fences and trees all within a yellow band at the foot and the lip. The squared off handle is also yellow. The shape of the handle leads to the fairly late date. 4 ¾ inches (12 cm) tall and 5 5/8 inches across the handle (14.2 cm).

Condition: no cracks, hairlines or repairs...

This porcelain platter was produced in Germany at the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the late 19th century. It has a diameter of 13 inches and is 1 1/4 inches deep. The rim of the platter is done in a rococo style and has reticulated decoration. The platter is hand painted with elaborate floral decorations. A Large Royal Worcester Vase with a Reticulated Neck, Pierced Design in the Handles and Gilt on Rim and Bottom. There is a Hand Painted Scene of Stratford Church on front, and a Hand Painted Floral Design on the Back. Registration No. 101230 for 1888 Pattern No.1279. The size is 12.25" high x 7" wide, with a 22" circumference. It weighs 2.3 lbs. Excellent condition.

No makers mark or mark for the country of origin, but likely to be English (possibly by Samuel Alcock & Company). It might be French. In either case based on the style it was made around 1850...

This porcelain ewer was produced in Germany by Rudolstadt Pottery and Lewis Straus & Sons was the New York distributor. The ewer was produced around 1900. It is 9 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is fine quality with molded details in high relief. There is a medallion in the center of the ewer with a portrait of a young woman. It is framed in elaborate art nouveau style gilding. The gilding is raised and accented with colored enamel beads or jewels...

A rare pair of apple green glazed candle holders designed by William Howson Taylor and made at the Ruskin Pottery works in Smethwick, near Birmingham, West Midlands, UK. Both candlesticks have an impressed 1908 datemark to the base. Condition: excellent - no damages and no repairs. 16cm (6.3 inches) high; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) diameter at the base.
