A 19th century Japanese Kutani bottle vase. This well painted hand decorated 6-1/8" vase features gold decoration, floral and figural panels and decoration in black and orange. It has what appears to be an artist's signature on the bottom and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than some linear craze lines and areas of fine crazing...

Superbly enamelled coffee can with a water landscape and fisherman next to a ruined castle. C 1800, probably Belgian (Vieux Bruxelles). Height: 2 ½”/6,5 cm. Saucer, contemporary but not belonging, provided without extra cost (see last photo). Condition: handle professionally mended.

Parian group of a baby being roused by a puppy. Modelled c 1890 by Rowland James Morris (1842 – 1898), engraver and sculptor. R J Morris was born in Staffordshire and is known to have worked as a modeller to more than one porcelain manufacturer. He became especially well known for the Dainty White service and for Parian groups with children and dogs, one of them the immensely popular “Can’t you talk?” His models were all sold to Shelley & Wileman in 1896...

A thinly potted eggshell porcelain cup and two saucers. Enameled decoration of scrolls, Phoenix birds and temples in soft pastel shades. Arita, Japan, Edo period. Marked Zoshuntei (= shop), Sanpo Zo (made), for the factory of Hisatomi Yojibei Masatsune (1842 – 1870). Hisatomi was one of the first potters in Japan to be allowed to put his factory name on pieces intended for export from Arita. Four serving dishes from the Poppelsdorf factory. Of segmented shape with gilt borders and hand painted decoration of fruit in lovely colours. The factory was working from 1888 to 1929, and the green printed mark of these dishes was in use 1875 to 1900. Width "7½/ 19,5 cm. Condition: some wear to one dish.

Pearlware cup and saucer decorated with a silver resist (platinum) border of vines within thin red lines. As a cheaper alternative to luxury silver services and to avoid tarnishing, platinum on porcelain was used in the early 19th century. Silver resist or silver lustre wares were produced mainly in Staffordshire, before silver-plated metals took over the market. This cup and saucer was made around 1820 and is unmarked. Large and beautiful ironstone beer tankard or mug, with molded or sprigged decoration of hops – looking rather like blackberries - in blue and white on a drab coloured background. England, c 1820-30, in the Wedgwood jasperware style. Height "4¾/ 12 cm, diameter "5¼/ 13,5 cm. Condition: fine.

Demitasse black and white coffee can and saucer by Bodley & Co in Staffordshire, c 1870. The pattern, numbered 3438, is of various whimsical silhouetted scenes – a charging officer and fusiliers, firefighting, dueling with walking sticks, an arguing couple, a fat guardsman etc. Impressed mark Bodley. An English Victorian Syrup or Milk Jug with a Pewter Lid and a Molded Floral Pattern on Base; with a Registry Number for 1861. Dimensions; 6.5" high x 5" across. Excellent condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1912. There are date ciphers that indicate this date. The set is made of high quality bone china. It is decorated in a Japanese Imari pattern. The decoration is hand painted and ornately gilded. The decoration on the cup and saucer is bold and vivid. There is some slight wear in the well of the saucer. This cup and saucer is in otherwise excellent condition.

A Footed English Staffordshire Double-handled Compote dish with a Ribbon and Garland pattern; by Watford, 1860. Dimensions 11.5" long x 8.5" wide. Excellent condition.

Dutch Delft Pottery thick Polychrome painted Plate, 18th Century, 9" diameter, 1 1/4" high, with garden scene. There are some chips around the rim, glaze is crazed.

A pair of Staffordshire soup plates, transfer printed in blue in the Willow pattern, c 1820 or somewhat earlier, no foot rims and probably Spode. Both pearlware, with variation in thickness and pattern. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.5 and 24 cm, height of both "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: the smaller plate with a nick to the rim (cf. pics).

A Grainger/Worcester small bulbous vase, hand painted with cowslip flowers and sprigs on a light green ground. Imprinted marks for Grainger / Worcester, pattern number G 161 and year mark D for 1893. Height "2 ¾/ 7 cm, width "3¼/ 8 cm. Condition: fine.

A superb pair of true Arts and Crafts stoneware pottery matched ewers in a rich chocolate brown colour, c1880-1900. The upper shoulders or these 7-5/8" ewers or pitchers are in a glossy glaze, and the lower body has a naturalistic matte glaze over a stippled style textured surface topped with a decorative linked band of semicircles. The glaze didn't quite flow to cover the interiors of the hand made spouts and the bottoms are unglazed. They are unsigned, but look and feel like English stoneware ...

Meissen blue and white cup and saucer. Decoration in the “Blue Fluted” pattern originally designed by Meissen c 1740, later to be used by other manufacturers, esp. Danish Royal Copenhagen. The slim handle, ribbed inside, shape of the sword marks and the mark 44 altogether suggest a date between 1818 and 1860 (cf. Graesse on Meissen, 110). Height of cup "2 ½/5,8 cm and diameter of saucer "5 ¼/14 cm. Condition: fine.

A Royal Doulton Chiné stoneware jug or pitcher with pewter lid, c 1890, partly gilt and enamelled in turquoise, blue and white. The Chiné pattern, where a textile – lace - was pressed into the clay to create the desired effect, was invented by Slater, director of Doulton from 1887 to 1936. Marks: Royal Doulton, Slater’s Patent and RH for designer Rosina Harris. Height 8"/20 cm. Condition: restoration to tip of spout.

English Bone China maybe Coalport Serving Dish, Ca. 19th C., 1 1/2" high, 9" x 8" wide with raised Grape design handle, bright large floral decoration inside the dish, marked number "518" in dark olive color on the bottom. Some old chips on the bottom rim caused by many years of usage

Hard paste fluted handless cup and saucer decorated with a brownish purple edge, flowers and a green and black band with elaborate breaks and red bindings. In the center of the saucer three larger flowers and a single flower at the bottom of the cup. Unmarked though probably Champions, circa 1775. Cup 1 ¾ inches tall, 2 ¾ inches diameter. Saucer 4 5/8 inches diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very little wear.

German Meissen Porcelain Gravy Boat or Sauce Boat with attached tray, all one piece, 1920's, 3 1/2" high with handles, 10" wide x 7" deep with handles, hand painted floral decoration with gilded rim. Underglaze blue cross sword mark on the bottom. No damages or restoration work.

Portuguese Azulejo Ceramic Tile from old building in Madeira Portugal, 5 1/4" square, 3/8" deep, hand painted with old traditional colors, the condition is good.

Small French majolica dish. Very nice details in the mold with a wonderful selection and blending of colors. In excellent condition it measures 5.5" x 5.5". Dates circa 1910.
