This stunning Victorian tomato glass basket by Boston & Sandwich Glass Company is made from two layers of cased glass, a tomato or orange-red color over yellow with an applied clear single twist thorn handle and 4 applied clear feet. An unusual feature is that top rim of the bowl folds over and is studded with large tomato hobnail bumps ending with a crimped edge which finishes with a narrow clear band. Offered is this wonderful, hand-painted, Victorian glass epergne. The epergne is 10 3/4 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide at its widest. The set is in very good condition (there is a fabrication flaw typical of hand-made glass items, a burst bubble - see last picture). Unsigned.

A marvelous and very rare Victorian patchbox, the body carved from a single piece of ivory and the cut crystal lid enclosing a cameo incrustation (“sulphide”) depicting a pansy. A ribbon tied around the flower’s stem reads “a moi”. This is a clever play on words. The French word for pansy is “pensé”, which is very nearly the same word used to mean “thought”. So, when combined with the words on the ribbon, the sulphide expresses the sentiment “Thoughts of me”...

A matching set of six hand-made late Victorian 5-1/4" cut crystal wine glasses with fine teal coloured bowls. They have fine hand-cut stems, faceted bottoms on the bowls and applied bases. The bowls have subtle striations and the occasional bubble. They are unsigned but of superb quality. This set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs...

A beautiful, signed, etched Favrile glass stem, made by Tiffany Studios around 1910. Of medium size, the stem is in fine condition.

This beautiful example of an 18th century English cordial features a round funnel bowl engraved with a flowering rose on a leafed stem with thorns. The stem is a double series opaque twist (dsot) composed of a multi-ply spiral band around a pair of heavy spiral threads. The foot is of the uncommon domed helmet form with a rough snapped pontil. Lead glass with good color, striations, and tooling marks.

Condition is flawless, with no chips, cracks, scratches, or restoration...

Two Eau de Cologne scent bottles, flacons, with sterling silver lids, c 1880-1900. Of square shape, the upper parts faceted and the corners bevelled. Cut glass stopper and screw-on lid to one, the other lid not belonging. One lid with monogram engraving, the other with the traditional English design of a hand holding a dagger. The smaller bottle with a paper label saying something like "Another mist" in Russian - the name of a perfume? Height of both "3¼/ 8 cm without the lids...

A 6 inch diameter signed Galle bowl on which the rim is rolled inward to give the bowl 3 lobes.. The dark red overlay of fuschia blossoms and leaves is laid on a nearly colorless ground with a satin finish. The bowl is 3 inches deep and has a ground pontil.

This 19th Century American Brilliant period cut glass compote with a shallow bowl and a tall stem ending in a star base would be the perfect presentation for an assortment of handmade chocolate truffles on a holiday buffet. Fabulous and rare Pairpoint silver palate olive caster with original tongs. The satin glass insert is most likely Mount Washington and features a lovely hand painted floral design on all sides. All in excellent condition, it measures about 11 inches tall. (Glass insert is 4.5" high)

Offered is this pair of hand-painted, elephant-handled, ormolu-mounted vases (the vases have been drilled at their bottoms, and as such, could be used for either displaying dry flowers or as lamp bases), made around 1890. Each one is 15 3/4 inches (40 cm) tall and 9 3/4 inches (25 cm) wide. They are in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or repairs (there is age-appropriate tarnishing of the metal and fading of the paint)...

Exceptional Moser cut to clear 6 sided cranberry red stem glass. Each panel has a raised hand cut medallion. 5 medallions feature finely hand cut and gold gilded bouquets of different flowers. The 6th is monogrammed. Probably used as a wine glass, this is truly an amazing work of art. Dates around 1910, and measures 5.25 inches high.
