Bowl reads: SOLDIER'S AND SAILOR'S MONUMENT/ INDIANAPOLIS, IND. Back has an Excellent EAGLE and a LADY Justice. Further marked: STERLING S. Length is 5 5/8" with the bowl 1 3/8" across. This is a 19th century sterling silver sugar caster made by Shreve Crump & Low Co. highly regarded and well known silver smiths. The height of the caster is 5” and the diameter at the widest is 3”. The caster is fully hallmarked and also engraved on the bottom with three initials and a date 7.29.1894.

Delightful Victorian sterling silver rattle. Made by WH Collins & Co. in Birmingham in 1897. Kitty stands stiffly in snug fitting jacket and trousers. Only the tail is free to flick back and forth. A funny depiction of feline ill grace. A bit of a sour puss, but endearing nonetheless. Mother of pearl handle. Fully marked. Good condition.

Modern sterling silver porringer with Noah’s Ark motif. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1926. Bellied bowl and solid shaped handle. On exterior is acid-etched frieze with a lion, camel, elephant, bear—and so on single file through the animal kingdom. Destination Ark where Noah awaits. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 20731A (first produced in 1926), and director’s letter m. Very good condition with strong definition.

A George III Silver Cream Jug or Pot by Samuel Meriton and Hallmarked in London in 1777. Of a Baluster Shape with a Hammered Interior. Dimensions; 4.25" high, 2.3 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

Very fine French engraved sterling chalice. This chalice measures 8 1/4" tall with a 4" diameter top and 5 1/2" diameter base. The mid-section has a deeply engraved petal design with four engraved circular accents. The cup interior is gilded and the base is hollow. Marked with the Minerva head with a 1 (First standard-950 silver). Circa 1915. Very good condition.

Victorian sterling silver mustard pot. Made by George Frederick Pinnell in London in 1844. Round with open scrollwork sides and spread base with applied leafing scrollwork. Hinged and domed cover with vasiform finial leaf thumb rest. Capped s-scroll handle. Open bottom. Detachable cobalt glass liner. Fully marked. Very good condition. Glass has a few rim chips.

Set of 6 Victorian sterling silver equestrian place card holders. Made by Samuel Jacob in London, 1896-1902. Cut out with chasing, stippling, and tooling. Each different with jockeys, polo players, and hedge-jumping hunters. Hinged c-scroll support.

Fully marked including date letters 1896 (3), 1901 (1), and 1902 (2). Five holders have each a different design number; the numbers were registered between 1894 and 1897. Three have retailer’s stamp (Thornhill & Co.)...

Edwardian sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Frank M. Whiting Co. in North Attleboro, Mass., ca 1910. Lobed and oval body on short and scalloped foot. Capped and scroll-mounted high-looping handle. Scrolled helmet mouth with applied rim. Pretty with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. 2511, and volume (3 1/2 pts). Very good condition.

Circa 1850, this lovely sterling silver serving spoon has a gilded and perforated bowl, and a long handle with a three dimensional calla lily detail at the end. The leaves stretch across the top of the bowl also. It was most likely made by Whiting. The bowl measures approximately 3" in diameter and the handle is 7" long. It is in very good condition, with most of the gilding still in tact. It is marked "STERL" on the back.

Elegant Edwardian cranberry glass vase with pierced sterling silver mounts by Galt & Bro. The piercings are fan-shaped and the rim has a bound reed motif. The cranberry glass insert flares slightly toward the upper rim and is accented with simple cutting. The base is marked "Galt & Bro." (Washington, DC, 1892-1934).

Origin: America, ca 1910. Condition: excellent, no dings, chips or cracks. Size: 8" tall.

A fine boxed set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons in Gorham's 1896 "Maryland" pattern. The fronts of the handles are decorated scrolls, shells and pendant bouquets, while the backs are accented with simple scrolling and a shell motif near the bowls. The bowls are parcel gilt. This is a particularly lovely pattern--ornate, but not over the top. The spoons are presented in their original fitted box, the inside lid of which is marked with the logo of Gorham's New York City retail store...

Composite Corinthian capital with concave sides and detachable bobeche. Beading. Fully marked. Good condition. Some pings especially on foot rim. One has bung.

A Child's English Silver Christening Mug; Hallmarked London 1807. Dimensions; 2.5" high x 2.125" at base, weight, 2.7 Troy ounces. The makers mark is somewhat indistinct, but it can be made out to be "RG", for Robert Garrard the First. Very fine condition.

A Scottish Footed Silver Bowl, probably used for Sugar. The Marks are rubbed, but it is likely Glasgow, with maker probably Alexander Gairdner c. 1777. Dimensions; 4.75" diameter x ;5" high x 3.5" diameter at foot; weight, a heavy 9.6 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.
