It has an ornate REB monogram, and the top extrudes slightly, possibly from being made to set in a travel case. The interior is lightly gilded. An S Kirk and Sons sterling silver repousse nut serving bowl and matching spoon. The 6-1/2" diameter bowl and 5-1/4" long spoon both have the high-relief floral repousse work this quality American silver firm was known for. It is on on the bowl's rim and on the spoon handle and in the bowl, which also has a relief scene of fruit including pineapple, grape, apple and strawberry. The spoon's bowl measures 2" across. Just incredible! This lovely Duhme Victorian Sterling Silver Ladle dated October 10, 1864, with spiral stem and engraved hamdle, is exquisite. The cartouche is engraved with "Hannah" The ladle measures 11.5 inches long with a generous bowl 3 3/4 inches wide. It weighs 4 ounces. A magnificent piece in excellent condition.
