STERLING 1, comprising a rectangular shape with engraved leaf and branch design on the front, Victorian monogram SHR, decorative engraving on back, hinged top. Nice patina of old silver. Bowl has embossed border of imbricated leaves or chevrons, a bold motif popularly known as Wave Edge. Neck applied with same. An antique Georgian Caucasian solid silver stem wine cup (Tazza) assayed at the Tiflis (now Tbilisi) Russian Imperial mint and stamped in the Cyrillic alphabet ТМД (Тифлисский монетный двор). This silver hallmark was used from 1804 to 1832.

A shallow bowl of solid silver hand hammered and chased in Bas-relief with a large flower-head, each petal framing various animals including tiger, wild boar, eagle, and hawk...

Lovely pair of sterling silver sugar tongs with opaque turquoise and white enamel decoration. The quality of these tongs is apparent from the ornate and elegant piercing of the tips. Stamped on the inside “Sterling 1212” and hallmarked by the H. H. Curtis Co. (North Attleboro, MA, 1891-1915).
