Superb Georgian sterling silver swing-handle basket. The bottom of the basket is formed of a silver sheet stamped and pierced in an intricate grapevine motif. The sides, constructed of interwoven silver wire, rise from the base and are decorated with grape cluster appliqués. The rim suggests grape vines, as well. Absolutely beautiful, very heavy, sterling tray.  It measures 22" long x 14 1/2" wide x 1" tall and weighs 2045 grams.  It is heavily decorated with flowers and leaves.  It is marked on the bottom "sterling" with what appears to be a beehive.  It is rare to find a sterling tray of this weight and beauty.

A fine pair of sterling silver sugar tongs in the classic “Kings” pattern. The design is very nicely worked and the tongs are generously sized. The inside of the tongs are fully hallmarked for London, 1837. They also bear the William IV duty mark. This mark, used in conjunction with the 1837 date mark, was used for only 22 days before being changed to the Victoria duty mark. The maker’s mark is that of either William Barber or William Barrett II.

A French carving set; knife and fork with silver handles, beautifully engraved and crafted. Made in Paris in the 1880’s, in the classicist Louis XVI style so much “en vogue” at the time. The fork made of ivory or bone, the sharp steel blade of the knife marked Paris. Minerva head hall mark and maker’s mark of a bird, possibly, and E. Length of knife "13¼/ 33,5 cm. Condition: the little knob of the fork seems to be replaced, otherwise fine.

Beautiful Italian 800 silver repousse sugar box. This sugar box with lid, was made in Milano, 19th Century. A finely chiselled foliage decor encompasses the entire sugar box. Marking located on the bottom.
Measurements: 6.69" (17 cm) height X 7.08" (18 cm) including handles X 4.33" (11 cm) diameter.

A finely detailed ornate mesh purse with handle. Made of 800 silver with a floral design around the clasp. The interior contains a unique mesh coin purse. One of the enlarged photos shows a small area under the clasp missing a hoop which we can easily repair if so desired. We can also polish the purse free of charge.

Matching set of art nouveau dresser jar and hair receiver with sterling silver tops. In excellent condition and never monogrammed, they each measure 5" across, 4.75" high. Dates early 20th c. Can be sold separately at $175 each.

A fine Victorian sterling silver sugar sifter with a medallion handle, possibly by George Sharp. Rather than the usual relief medallion, the handle features an applied medallion of considerable depth and detail looking straight forward. Gilt sterling silver replica of the anointing spoon used for the coronation of English monarchs. The original spoon, dating from the 12th Century, is the oldest continuously used piece in the entire English royal regalia. The spoon is used to apply holy anointing oil onto the sovereign during his or her coronation. This replica commemorates the coronation of George V. The handle is stamped with the appropriate hallmarks for London, 1910 and the maker’s mark “CS/FS”.
