A fine and rare example of the antique, circa 1850 "kupka - kupke," a cap with wig. This type of Kupka was worn by well-to-do religious Jewish women on the Sabbath and holidays in Poland in the 19th century...

Early antique homespun cotton handkerchief in blue and white. It is very tightly woven and soft to the touch. It has two initials M and H. This is an American and possibly Shaker made. It is 17 1/2" by 19 1/2". The condition is excellent with some slight age discoloration. This was made for longevity! Circa 1830-40.

An antique traditional women's folk costume headdress from Bavaria called "Priener Hut". The outside covered with black velvet, both sides with a pair tassels worked in gold wires, frippery and glass beads. The underside of the hat brim with splendid goldwork in gold and silver wires decorated with glass beads. The sides with the long, often missing, embroidered velvet and silk ribbons. Green silk lining and maker's label "Therese Allinger - Hutgeschäft - Obing"...

A Central Anatolian prayer kilim in beautiful colors. Woven in slit tapestry, warp and weft in wool. Condition: Colors slightly faded, minor wear and few small repairs. Collectors piece, the weave is very fine and delicate, should not be exposed to heavy traffic. Dimensions: 202 x 118 cm without fringes.

Early 1800's petit point embroidery of a young girl holding a bird. Protected under glass in an oval frame it is in remarkably good condition with the colors still being vibrant. Measures in frame 10.75" high x 8.5" across.

Very nice poplar Shaker bonnet with a label marking the size as a 5. They were also made in size #6 and size #7. The bonnets were sold by the Shakers in their gift shops but they were not made by the Shakers. This one is in very good condition. It does have a few brown stains at the top of the brim edge, see photo. This is just about as good as you can get for this type of Shaker bonnet.

This pin cushion makes quite a statement. It has wonderful calico print fabrics in soft red, blue and brown. It is 7" square and is 3 1/2" thick and very heavy. You can see that it did have pins stuck in it at one time. It was made to be used. This is the best pin cushion! C. 1880 with some of the fabrics earlier.

Persian Sarouk Wool hand knotted large size Carpet, Ca. 1910, 10 1/2' x 15', very small hand knots for large carpet with dark blue and dark maroon reddish colors mainly, very rich and deep colors of floral and vines spread out on the soft wool surface which is evenly worn over the years. Two(2) shaped panels design on both ends and bordered by beautiful soft colors of typical Sarouk small patterns...

This is a Japanese antique Boro shibori and katazome hanjyuban jacket textile Edo period (1800－1867). The sleeve part natural Indigo dye cotton katazome. The body and back are silk safflower dyed shibori(Tie-dyeing) . The collar and lining are cotton. The fabric on the collar is a very nice Edo period cotton. Very rare and beautiful Antique Burmese Kalaga wall hanging/tapestry depicting 8 dancers with hundreds of hand hammered sequins, pearl and glass beads as well as metallic threads. Due to age and climatic conditions some wear to some parts, but overall nice condition. Mounted/sewn on 100% Thai silk backing. 2 stylized wooden rods not included in price. 25 1/2" by 26" red, white and blue neckerchief, hand hemmed with the tiniest of stitches. It is in excellent condition and has embroidered initials LZ in one corner. It came in a textile lot of shaker items. LZ in one corner. Circa 1840

A fine example of a textile fragment from a 17th century chausable, purple cut velvet in a geometric vine design on a yellow background, mounted on silk. Overall fine condition, with a sight size of 18" by 18 1/2".

Pair of wonderful cotton knit striped socks the heal hand worked. The colors and mustard yellow, blue and white stripes. Some of the hand sewing in the heal is lose or is partly out. No holes and I doubt they have been worn much at all. 28" long and circa 1880

A clutch worked from a 19th century Chinese silk embroidery with Peking knot, the space beetween filled with tiny white seed glass beads. White lining and green jade imitating glass knob. Condition: lining with few traces of usage, clean. Dimension: c. 19 cm x 12.5 cm.
