This porcelain tea caddy with lid was produced in Germany by Sitzendorf in the 1890s. The tea caddy measures 6 inches high, including the lid and 5 inches across the handles. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. The reserve on the front is hand painted with a mischievous looking cupid with his bow and arrows. The painting is finely executed with bright colors and fine detail. The scene is framed in a raised gold cartouche. The back of the caddy has a gilded lyre or harp in raised gold...

A Canton hand embroidered silk piano shawl with a vibrant design of large red flowers and a vine and leaf motif with multicolored smaller flowers set against a black background. The embroidery is of a superb and dense quality silk floss. On each of the four sides is a black elaborately knotted net "bridge" between the scarf and the long fringes.
This fine example is in excellent overall condition and measures 50" square with an additional 14" fringe on each side.

This early very beautiful Civil War era capelet is a rich reddish brown calico made with the finest cotton fabric that looks like it might be homespun. The workmanship is the best. A beautiful, tall, hand-painted, Bohemian glass pokal, made probably by Fritz Heckert or Theresienthal around 1900. The pokal is 18 inches (46 cm) tall and 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) wide. Except for a couple of negligible flea-bites (one on lid-bottom and another on rim-top - hidden when lid is in place, see last picture), typical of old glass items where two glass surfaces rub against each other, the pokal is in fine condition...
