French Belle Epoque Classical 950 silver gravy boat on stand, ca 1910. Boat has ovoid bowl with helmet mouth and raised oval foot with imbricated leaf rim. A rare French silver (950/1000 pure silver) tastevin from the reign of Louis XVI. This classic example features a classic design of angled “godrons” (grooves) accented with raised “perles” (pearls). The lack of deeply recessed “cupules” suggests that this wine taster was specifically intended for use with white wines. A wonderfully colored Wheeling Peachblow (AKA Coral) stick vase shown in the Hobbs, Brockunier and Co. Catalog as a #12 vase. The vase is in the glossy finish and measures 8 7/8 inches tall.

An unsigned Lobmeyr wine glass with gold and multicolored enameling. The 8 ½ inch tall wine has a notched stem with each notch touched with gold. The cup is enameled in a very typical Lobmeyr pattern of multicolored curlicues above a band of gold enameled with blue and orange jewels. The foot is decorated to match the jewelled gold band on the cup. There is no damage.
