This porcelain serving dish or plate was produced in Germany by Rosenthal between 1898 and 1906. It was sold white ware to a studio artist for decoration. It has a diameter of 10 1/2 inches. The rim of the dish is reticulated in art nouveau style. There are large, pastel colored roses spilling across the center of the dish. The rim is trimmed with heavy gilding. Condition: Excellent

Lovely sterling silver lettuce fork in Whiting's 1896 "Dresden" pattern. The ornate design of flowers and shells compliments the elegant shape of the piece.

Iceberg lettuce, developed at the end of the 19th century, was the first leafy vegetable that would keep long enough to be transported from farms to larger cities. Consequently, lettuce was a very elegant and costly food at formal dinners.

This porcelain dish was produced in France in the late 19th century. It has an underglaze mark that says Limoges, France but there is no factory name. The dish was evidently sold undecorated to an amateur artist who painted it. The dish has cut out handles on the sides. It is 8 1/4 inches across the handles. The roses are painted with delicacy. You have buds to full blown blooms in pink and rose. The dish is trimmed with gilding. Condition: Excellent

English Blue Transferware deep Plate, 19th century, 8 7/8" diameter, 1 1/4" high, fluted edge with Castle scenery and figures attending cows, impressed mark "2" on the bottom, possibly "Spode" pottery, the edges are worn and stained little, the condition is good.

This pin cushion makes quite a statement. It has wonderful calico print fabrics in soft red, blue and brown. It is 7" square and is 3 1/2" thick and very heavy. You can see that it did have pins stuck in it at one time. It was made to be used. This is the best pin cushion! C. 1880 with some of the fabrics earlier.

This is a Shaker hand sewn needle case make by the Shaker sisters and sold in their gift shops. It is a brown and beige silk fabric with a white flannel interior to hold the pins and needles. It is 4" by 4". and is in nice condition with wear to a bit of the ribbon.

A small New England Peachblow rose bowl with applied white vertical stripes. The 2 7/8 by 2 7/8 inch bowl has a crimped and scalloped rim and a broken pontil mark. The bowl is similar to those made for the 1893 World's Fair

This porcelain serving dish was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges in the late 19th century. It measures 13 inches long and 6 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain has molded decoration and handles are built into the dish. We know that it is factory decorated since there is an impressed mark as well as a printed mark. The border is turquoise blue. This color blue is used in the decoration and is overlaid with fancy gilding so only a little of the blue shows through...

English Spode Blue Transfer deep plate, late 19th century, 9 3/4" diameter, 1 1/2" high, with Italian pattern inside fluted rim and two(2) figures attending cows, imprinted mark "Spode 54" "Spode" in underglaze blue, the condition is good.

A pair of antique Dutch china wedding bowls circa 1865. This nice set of wedding bowls dates to 1865 and they were made to commemmorate the wedding of Dirk Hoogedorn to Agije Brink on April 30, 1865. These 4-3/8" diameter and 2-1/4" tall bowls we given to the guests as a remembrance of the wedding. They are finely hand-decorated with rich gilt lettering and decoration, and they are unmarked. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs...

Very nice 16: by 16" calico doll quilt all hand sewn. Some of the calico fabrics are great. The back is a stripe that kind of looks like ticking but is a little hint of floral. There is a batting in between the front and the back and stitched together with diagonal lines. Condition is very good, I don't see anything other than some minor age related discoloring here and there. I had it on the top of an old red blanket chest and it looked wonderful. I also hang them on doors and between windows...

This is a lovely piece of 18th C European needlework, brilliant true-colored, made of vegetable dyed threads on very fine open weave homespun linen, having pulled work in the flower centers, metallic threads within the flower stems and a symmetrical block pattern, Spanish or Italian, likely a piece of curtain or clothing; Condition: Good with some stitch loss framed in glass with blue matting which does not do this piece justice, measures 12 1/2" x 15 1/2 "

This porcelain breakfast cup and biscuit tray was produced in France in the mid 19th century. It has an impressed and printed mark with location in Paris. The tray measures 9 1/2 inches long and 5 3/4 inches wide. The cup has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and is 2 1/4 inches high. The set is decorated with a factory transfer that is hand colored and has enamel accents. There is a garland of muted pink flowers and gray foliage and branches encircling each piece...

Exceptional American coin silver melon spoon in the Grecian taste. Although simply marked "Coin" this spoon could easily be the work of Gorham, Coles, or other makers of similar repute. The matte finished bowl is decorated with repousse lobes highlighted with bright cut engraving; the handle solely with bright cut engraving.

Origin: America, New England or Mid-Atlantic region; circa 1860. Condition: excellent; no monogram. Size: 8.25" long.

A luscious bud vase in the Onion Bulb shape 645, enameled in mulberry and blue. The vase was designed in 1907 by Emma Kinkead. The underside is incised with the logo and name of Van Briggle and Colo Spgs for Colorado Springs. Very good condition with 3 very small glaze specks at the base which are noted in a picture. The vase dates to early 20th C. Dimensions: 3.5" w, 3.25" d, 4.25" h. The vase has very small glaze flakes near the base. Otherwise it is in very good condition.

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by an unknown company in the 1890s. It has an under glaze blue crossed swords mark imitating the mark of Meissen. From the workmanship it must have come from the Dresden area. The box measures 2 3/4 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches deep. The box is hinged and has a gilded metal frame. The lid is hand painted with a scene of lovers in a garden. There is pink and gold trim around the top and bottom rims...
