These memento boxes were popular at the end of the eighteenth century and frequently given as tokens of friendship and love. Usually oval in shape, but also circular and rectangular, the decoration reflected the popular styles of the day. For example, by the 1790s Neoclassical style swags, doves, hearts, and borders were the most commonly used decoration of the day. This one reads "The Absent Not Forgotten."

A wonderful and rare southern folk art small watercolor on paper portrait of a gentleman, identified as Mr. Bunning on the reverse, along with the date of 1824. Examples of southern folk art are quite uncommon and highly sought after...

Offered is this rare cranberry-glass pillow vase, hand-decorated with a marsh scenery, made by Moser around 1900. The vase is 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) long, 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) high and 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide. In good condition (expected, age-appropriate wear to gold and a small rim flea-bite - see last picture). Unsigned, but guaranteed to have been made by Moser - the scalloped feet are a hallmark of Moser pillow vases (for reference: see Baldwin's book on the Klabin Moser glass collection).

Victorian Classical sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1877. Globular bowl with drum-form neck, small lip spout, and c-scroll handle. Bowl has vertical ornament in form of applied acanthus leaves alternating with embossed gadroons. Neck has applied harps in wreaths between leafing scrolls. Handle has applied rosette and leafing stem. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 4706 (first produced in 1877), and director’s letter M (1873-91)...

A large goblet by Pairpoint engraved in the “Waterford” pattern. The goblet shape is shown as “Unknown 72.” The 6 ½ inch tall goblet is colorless with a cobalt blue stem.

Edwardian crystal decanter with sterling silver stopper. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1897. Bell-form bowl with baluster neck, u-form spout, and c-scroll handle. Engraved and acid-etched flowers and leaves. Stopper ovoid with scrolls and flowers. Engraved interlaced script monogram. Stopper fully marked including date symbol and no. S2822. Very good condition.

Classical coin silver baby cup. Made by Eoff & Connor, a partnership active in New York from 1833 to 1835. Bellied bowl with drum-form neck, flared rim, and capped s-scroll handle; raised and stepped foot. Shaped frame (vacant) with chased scrolling leaf surround, and leaf and flower bands. Foot has cast egg-and-dart border. Handwork visible on interior. Lovely with strong regional association. Marks include “J.H. Connor” and “G. Eoff” stamps...

German Meissen Porcelain Ming Red Dragon Vase with German hallmarked Silver mounted on top rim, Ca. late 1800's, 5 5/8" high, 2 3/4" diameter-top rim, 2" diameter-bottom rim, with Ming Red Dragon in flame. Meissen underglaze Blue Cross Sword mark plus red numbers and impressed letters and numbers marked on the bottom. The condition is good.

This is a really nice depression glass green Bowknot 4 1/4 inch diameter berry or fruit bowl made by the Belmont Tumbler Company in the 1920s. This berry bowl can be hard to find.
