6 Victorian humorous comical miniature 4-1/4" plates from 1860-80 with relief decoration. These plates have an unidentified shield impressed mark, and the set consists of the following scenes:
- "Satisfaction" (duelling scene, 2 in stock, both with staining and crazing)
- "Tad Too Late" (leaving carriage, crazing)
-attorney office scent (legend obscured, crazing)
-fishmonger scene (crazing, staining)
-"Very Deaf In Deed" (dark staining, crazing, tight crack)...

Extended pin stem and tube hinge. Totally English Victorian with Art Nouveau lines circa 1900 or earlier. Open cut chased bench work sterling pin brooch with extended pin stem, tube hinge and "C" catch.
Marks in back include Anchor, Lion and small "b" with maker's mark of "W A" all of which are in depressed cartouches, also numbers 5 & 2 superimposed and an 8 as model or style number.
2" north to south and 2.5" across.
Nicely engraved, chased and in very good condition...

Strong EA Bliss elements and design yet unsigned. This reminds one of this maker's work. Richly ornate. What wonderful pieces these sash ornament buckle pin brooches can be!

Finely detailed carved ivory monkey face, c.1920's. He appears to be laughing with open mouth and measures 1 9/16" in diameter. There an open crack due to age at the top left -see photo #2. It measures 1/2" long and ends at the eye. Could be placed into a bezel and worn as a pendant or pin......$8 for insured USA shipping plus applicable NYS tax.

A nice coin silver rattail spoon by John Brown, active in Baltimore from 1799, after apprenticing in Philadelphia. The bowl is rather narrow, suggesting it was to be used as a pap spoon. The spoon must have been an early piece from Brown's shop, as the design is quite clearly drawn from late 18th century styles. The three-letter monogram in a bright-cut cartouche is also characteristic of the period. The back is marked with Brown's punch.

This demitasse cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in France by Haviland Limoges before 1900. The plate has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches, the saucer is 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 inches high. The plate and saucer are scalloped with a ripple molded into the border. The cup has a shape like a clover. The three pieces are decorated with a floral transfer that trails across each piece in art nouveau style. The rims are trimmed with a double gold band...

French T&V Tressemanes & Vogt Limoges Porcelain Serving Bowl and matching underplate, Ca. 1907-1919, 2 1/4" high, 5 3/8" diameter top rim for bowl and 7 1/4" diameter, 3/4" high for under plate, hand painted Blueberry design, entire surface is painted except bottom is white glazed with fluted rim, marked "T&V Limoges, France, Depose" in green on the bottom. The condition is good.

An exceptionally nice English porcelain cup and saucer decorated with pink luster. The body is molded in a net pattern with reserves that are highlighted in overglaze blue, green, yellow and iron red enamels. The center of the saucer is decorated with a strawberry motif that is repeated in the bottom of the cup. The cup is raised on a slight foot. The saucer has very deep and steeply sloped sides so the hot tea could be drunk directly from the saucer, as was the custom.

Pair of wonderful cotton knit striped socks the heal hand worked. The colors and mustard yellow, blue and white stripes. Some of the hand sewing in the heal is lose or is partly out. No holes and I doubt they have been worn much at all. 28" long and circa 1880

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Richard Klemm Dresden around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and the cup is 3 inches high. The set is decorated in the Meissen style with vibrantly colored sprays of flowers. The height of the cup makes the flowers stand out. There is lacy gilding around the rims and accents on the handle. An interesting fragment of Victorian needlework, the somewhat shiny black (chintz, silk?) fragment of an irregular shape, later laid on a dull black linen backing to attempt to match the color, the final result currently round and 12 1/2" diameter, and 19 1/2" on a side in a new square frame (in excellent condition) with clean mat.
