A very fine twig basket, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. It was found in Pennsylvania, and is painted black, with the border and edge decoration painted in green, yellow, and orange over the black. The interior central portion of the basket is painted in green.

The basket is 8 5/8" in diameter and 4" tall. Condition is terrific, with no breaks...

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Richard Klemm Dresden around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and the cup is 3 inches high. The set is decorated in the Meissen style with vibrantly colored sprays of flowers. The height of the cup makes the flowers stand out. There is lacy gilding around the rims and accents on the handle. Condition: Excellent

A fine American tinsel or foil painting depicting a wreath of flowers, with a bird, around a grouping of fruit and foliage. The wreath is on a variation of the relatively rare "snowflake" type of background. This technique appears to have been done primarily in the 1870's period. The frame and wooden backboard are original.

There is a crack in the glass at the top left, and a small piece of glass is missing...

A Gorham Sterling Sugar Sifter Spoon in the "Raphael" pattern. Patented in 1874 and dating from shortly afterwards. Size: 6", with a gold washed bowl 2" x 1.5" and intricate piercing.

An antique watercolor painting of an early Maine farm house with out buildings. It is a modest setting but with a very neat and tidy welcoming look. It is 6 by 9" and with mat and frame is 9 3/4" by 13". It show lines where is was folded at one time. I have not had it out of the frame. ( I bought this in an estate sale in Maine so I am assuming it is Maine but it doesn't have to be.)

English Papier Mache Display Shelf with lacquered Chinoiserie decorated shelf, either place on the table or hang on the wall, 8 1/2" high-maximum height, 13" wide and 4 1/4" deep. Family enjoying outing in the Pavilion design in front and side panels. There are two(2) brass hook to hold the side panels together with bottom shelf, and brass hinges hold side pieces to the back. There are some house paint on the back side, but they don't show from the front side...

This demitasse cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in France by Haviland Limoges before 1900. The plate has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches, the saucer is 4 5/8 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 inches high. The plate and saucer are scalloped with a ripple molded into the border. The cup has a shape like a clover. The three pieces are decorated with a floral transfer that trails across each piece in art nouveau style. The rims are trimmed with a double gold band...

A pretty Victorian maple swing-handle sewing basket, the interior lined with colorful pleated silk plaid. The bottom, upper frame and handles are constructed of maple, and the spindles forming the sides of the basket are ebonized.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, except for a narrow age split in the wood at one end of the upper frame. Size: 8-1/8" x 5-3/4" x 9" high.

Terrific pair of sterling silver sugar tongs dating to the reign of George III. The design (made by cutting reflective facets in the silver) is very nicely executed on this quality piece, and unlike many Georgian tongs, these are quite heavy.

The tongs are marked with the lion passant and the script hallmark "GS" for George Smith, entered in London in 1782...

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Furstenburg between 1753 and 1770. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 3 inches high at the handle. The cup has the traditional Biedermeier style handle that raises above the rim of the cup. There are hand painted bands of grape vines and grapes done in earth tones. There are gold accents and trim on the rims and handle. Condition: There is some light wear to gilding in the well of the saucer where the cup sits...

Pair of wonderful cotton knit striped socks the heal hand worked. The colors and mustard yellow, blue and white stripes. Some of the hand sewing in the heal is lose or is partly out. No holes and I doubt they have been worn much at all. 28" long and circa 1880

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Carl Thieme Dresden around 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is fine and translucent. The saucer has a scalloped edge and the cup has a split handle. The porcelain is nicely detailed. Vibrant garlands of hand painted flowers encircle both pieces. Lacy gilding gleams on the rims. Condition: Excellent

John C. Moore period Tiffany & Co. sterling silver child's fork decorated with the nursery rhyme "Cock Robin & Jenny Wren." The fork shows the likeness of Mr. Robin wearing a tuxedo and Ms. Wren demurely peeking over her fan. The back is marked "Tiffany & Co. Sterling". The back also bears the letter M designating manufacture between the years 1875 and 1891.

Condition: excellent; usual wear to outer tines; no monogram. Size: 6-1/4" long.

made in China for the export market, this one piece ivory page turner has a dragon carved into the handle on one side. It is 7 inches long and in excellent condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by George Jones in 1850. There is a registry mark indicating this year. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The cup features a futuristic looking handle Jones often used. The set is decorated with vibrantly colored, hand painted asters and foliage. The vivid colors contrast beautifully against the white porcelain...

This bisque porcelain figure was produced in the mid 19th century. It has the initials L&M impressed in the base. We do not know the country of origin but it most likely is Continental. It is 10 1/2 inches high and the base has a diameter of 4 inches. It is made of unfired bisque porcelain. The piece depicts a sweet faced child holding a basket of fruit in one hand. There is a feeling of calmness and purity emanating from this figure. Condition: Excellent

An interesting fragment of Victorian needlework, the somewhat shiny black (chintz, silk?) fragment of an irregular shape, later laid on a dull black linen backing to attempt to match the color, the final result currently round and 12 1/2" diameter, and 19 1/2" on a side in a new square frame (in excellent condition) with clean mat. The design includes a butterfly, daisies, pansies and other flowers, and grasses gone to seed...
