Lovely pair of Italian Porcelain Capo di Monte amphoras. The exquisite scenaries are painted by hand.The seal is located at the bottom of each amphora. The Capo di Monte was established in the mid 1700's by King Charles of Naples, this explaining the "N" seal above the crown.

Late 18th or early 19th century tall porcelain pear shaped coffee pot with a flat lid topped with a pointed knop. The form is typical of Doccia of this period though the hexagonal spout is unusual. A similar pair of figures are illustrated in "The price Guide to 18th Century English Pottery" by Sally Mount, published by the Antique Collectors' Club (1972).
