This porcelain chocolate pot was produced in the US by Willets Belleek in the 1880s. This is a factory decorated piece. The pot measures 9 3/4” high and is 5 1/2” from handle to spout. The handle is shaped like a dragon that wraps around the pot. The body of the pot has a creamy ivory hue. It is hand painted with two colored gold. Some of it is shiny and some of it is matte finish. Ferns, leaves and blooms are painted with raised enamels you can feel...

A faïence vase by Cantagalli with silverluster and blue decoration in the Hispano-Moresque or Ottoman style, c 1880-90. Ulysse Cantagalli, Florence, drew his inspiration from Arts and Crafts designers like William de Morgan, from Italian Renaissance and Islamic ceramics. Marked with the singing cockerel of the Cantagalli factory. Height "4 ¾ / 13 cm. Condition: mouth rim with two minimal glaze flakes, and a glaze burst near the foot rim (cf. pics).

This is a wonderful collection of fine porcelain "biscuit" Monks. Made in Holland (The Netherlands) in the late 19 th. Century.

A delightful early 19th century French silver tastevin featuring a 1770 Louis XV coin and a wonderfully decorated handle. The handle decoration depicts a man seated atop a wine barrel grasping a wine bottle in one hand and a Cupid's arrow in the other. The design is completed with the legend "Vive l'amour et le vin" ("Long live love and wine."). This type of handle was developed in the early 1700s and was used mostly in the Burgundy region...

French triptych photo frame made of bronze and colorful enamel. Uses the antique method of applying enamel over the brass as opposed to cloisonne where the enamel is embedded in the brass. 19 th. Century. Shows some wear and tear in the enamel can be seen in the pictures.

A Sterling Silver Gorham Fruit or Center Bowl Made for Theodore B. Starr. Embossed Floral Edge and a Lobbed Center. An inscription in the center is to the Winslow Williams, for their 25th Anniversary (1883),from their employees. Gorham date mark for 1882. A vintage late Victorian period American sterling silver salver or tray c1880-1900. This 7-3/4" x 6-3/4" tray has a high relief edge and a central fancy monogram. It is stamped with the Howard Sterling Co. mark (Providence, Rhode Island 1878-1902) and the BARTENS & RICE retailer's mark (1875-1909)...

This Victorian serving piece is a small sterling silver ladle made by Whiting and perfect for pouring a fruit sauce over that special dessert. It has a lovely square shaped gilded bowl with a scalloped rim edge and shell ribbing and beaded handle, monogram ESC, maker's mark "W", a winged griffin, "Sterling, PatAppp For", measures 6 in; very good condition with age appropriate wear to gilt.

A Very Early Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot by Charles Rawlins & William Sumner, London 1838. Somewhat Rococo in Design it is a very heavy 29.3 Troy ounces in weight. A few minor dings, but in very fine shape.

A Pair of Sterling Candlesticks by Dominick and Haff with an Extensively Chased Design. They are 11" high and weigh 16.5 ounces each (33 ounces total)and are unweighted. From the early 1900's and in excellent condition. Note that there are a matching pair pair of tazzas available (Item number 1417).

An elegant second standard (800/1000 pure silver) French tastevin. The bowl is engraved with repousse grape clusters and leaves in the 18th century style, but also with the more traditional raised “perles” and “coupules” seen in 19th century examples. The combination of the two is quite unusual. The handle is in the form of two snakes grasping an apple between their jaws—an element thought to stem from the Garden of Eden and intended to remind drinkers of temptation...

Handmade of colonial silver, this "mate" cup is of Uruguayan origin from the 1850-1870 period.
"Mate" is a special cup for drinking "yerba mate" a popular tea brewed from the leaves of a native holly (Ilex Paraguariensis). The perforated silver straw used for drinking the "mate" contains leaves carving.

A Continental Silver (800)Pair of Grape Shears, circa 1880, with curved handles. Dimensions; 6.25" in length. Excellent condition.

Elaborately handled server by Reed & Barton in the "Love Disarmed" pattern. It has the old hallmarks dating back to 1899. This piece is in excellent condition, the figure on the handle and all of the repousse work are very crisp. Originally an asparagus server, it can be used for so many things. It has lovely piercings on the flat portion, and it shows no wear. It measures approximately 11.25" long and 3.75" at its widest. It weighs 255 grams. It is not monogrammed.

Ornate sterling silver meat serving fork featuring a heavily scrolled handle with matte-gilt, bright-cut tines. The back is marked "925 Sterling 1000". Many late 19th century silver makers did not otherwise mark their wares.

A classic 19th century French silver tastevin of traditional form by master silversmith Alexandre Vauger. This example is of small size, intended for use in evaluating cognac, Armagnac or calvados instead of wine. Unlike the “perles” and “godrons” found on the walls of a wine taster, a cognac taster more accurately reflects the liquid’s color using a smooth surface...

A Victorian Era Meat Fork, with Silver Bands and a Horn Handle. Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1864 by Harrison Bros, and Howson. Dimensions; length 9.5" x 1.625 width at the tines. Excellent condition.

Tibetan 'Frog Foot' Sitting/Meditation Rug, Tibet, Late 19th/early 20th C. Khagangma square with deeply saturated color. Blue trade cloth covered felt attached border. A pair of porcelain plates with a maroon and gilt border and complex bouquet of flowers in the center. Hand painted. On the back in a printed scroll, "ED. HONORE" and address, Boulevard Poissoniere Number 6. The mark is the same as the mark on the china that the company provided for the White House in 1846/47 to President Polk. 8 and 3/4 inches (22 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs...

This is an ornate American sterling silver baby food pusher made by Whiting Manufacturing Company in the "HYPERION" Pattern, circa 1888; the inside base of the front handle marked with the maker's mark and STERLING. the outside of the pusher having beautiful repousse, back of pusher monogrammed in Italics JPM; Measurements-handle 3 3/4 inches long, the blade measures 1 5/8 inches across. Condition- Excellent

A striking example of a Bohemian Rococo Revival baluster goblet, with a high domed foot. The entire glass is engraved, with foliage, German writing, a crown, and the date "1876" on the bowl, foliage and writing on the foot, and foliage even on the knop. A true tour de force of decorative skill; 8 1/4" tall, 3 1/8" diameter bowl, 3 3/8" diameter foot

A well decorated, monogrammed and marked hard paste porcelain plate. The outside border is decorated with a narrow peach ground and elaborate gilding with green dots and red lines. It includes a monogram dominated by the letter "R." The center of the plate is decorated with a hand painted bunch of pansies.

The maroon printed mark, "Ch.PILLIVUYT & Cie/PARIS/EXP 1867/MEDAILLE D'OR" is printed in a dotted oval under the base. Charles Pillivuyt was a well-established porcelain manufacturer...

Webb satin finish peachblow rose bowl, 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall. The bowl is cased in white with the exterior shaded from dark red at the top to a yellowish red at the bottom. The rim is crimped and edged in gold. The body of the rose bowl is decorated with gold prunus and a butterfly. There is a ground and polished pontil mark.
