A top piece of Austrian rural style Furniture !
It comes from the Tyrolian - Bavarian border area. This softwood armoire ( pine needle - wood ) is from about 1830.

This rich carved Austrian rural style armoire comes from the Pinzgau valley near Salzburg.
He is made in the Renaissance style, but he dates later at about 1740.

This is a Austrian rural style chest, a so called carved " Bauerntruhe " from Styria.

This piece from about 1750 originaly was only to open from upwards.
To make this nice piece more useable for everydays use, there recentely was made 2 doors into the front side of the chest.
These 2 doors are not visible, when they are closed.

This is another carved Pinzgauer armoire, this piece is from near Goldegg in the Pinzgau valley. This softwood ( pine needle wood ) piece is made in the Baroquian style, it also dates at about 1740 .

From our European Collection, a good 19th century hand-carved hall chair with an armorial / heraldic shield, probably Spanish in origin. The wood used is a dense and heavy hardwood which appears to be either walnut or mahogany. The chair is armless and rests upon wooden casters.
Size and Condition: 50 inches tall, 18 inches wide, 18 inches deep. Overall very good condition with mostly minor surface wear to the wood commensurate with age and use...

Made in Rockville, Illinois, this is probably the best dining room set we've ever had. It consists of a rare zebra wood top table, two arm chairs, four side chairs, large server, small buffet and closed china cabinet with fabulous inlay. The table, which has a drawer in one end, measures 68" long x 48" wide x 32" tall. It has two 12" leaves, both with aprons, making it 92" long when fully extended. It has flowered inlay in all corners, with inlay trim around the aprons...
From our European Collection, a good and substantial pair of Continental hand-carved black walnut chairs, 19th century, featuring claw feet and floral motifs carved in deep relief. The seat cushions are a mustard / gold colored silk and are either original, or later 19th / early 20th century replacements.

An American Federal Fire Screen; Mahogany 3-part Folding Screen on a Two Tiered Stand (one oval shelf over a rectangular one)standing on Splayed Legs. Blue Velvet Panels with Needlework of Elk and Hunters. Dimensions; 42.5" high x 18.25" wide x 12" deep; screen 18" x 15" closed; 36.5" x 15" open. Circa 1810-1820, probably of New england origin. Very Good condition.
From our European Collection, a superb Empire style side-cabinet or "meuble-a-hauteur d'appui," 3rd quarter 19th century circa 1850-1875, constructed of richly finished mahogany surmounted by a white-veined, dark green marble top, and with a key-locked central door (with original key) which opens to interior shelving, all decorated with exquisite ormolu bronze / dore bronze castings which are an absolute tour de force in metalwork...
Lovely set of eight American oak dining chairs consisting of two armchairs and six side chairs. They all measure 39" tall, and have paw feet in front.
A fabulous two section Japanese Sado Island Isho Tansu made of burl Keyaki wood with Sugi frame and Kiri wood interior dating from the Meiji period (c.1900), with beautiful forged iron fittings on a lacquer finish, all original and in top condition, 3 keys.
