They each have 3 back splat panels which are indicative of the 18th Century Kangxi Period. With a slight difference in size, the male chair has a back panel wood carving of a ring connecting two arabesque vine patterns suggesting double happiness in marriage (called a Chou pattern). An exceptional ladder back Delaware Valleycahir with 4 slats, original red wash and splint seat, and well developed turnings.
The chair is in excellent original condition and structurally sound. As to be expected there are some losses to the splints. The height is 43", with a width
of 20" and a depth of 18". The seat depth is 16" and 18 1/2" high.
Dramatic Chinese Kangxi Period blue and white vase with a cylindrical body narrowing to a straight neck and a flanged lip, ribbon designs on the neck, galloping Manchu Warriors carrying battle banners, base with a circle mark, all decoration in underglaze blue with three subtle hues.

An exquisite Queen Anne period elaborately carved side chair in excellent condition all original a fine example of early furniture making.
An antique Tibetan storage trunk with hard mounts and a hand painted dragon that appears to be dancing holding sacred jewels in each claw. A magnified textile pattern surrounds the dragon design. Hinged cover opens to a spacious storage area. Natural wear and marks on the cover over its long history of use.

Rare Chester County Pennsylvania Spice Chest in walnut having a moulded cornice above a raised panel door opening to an arrangement of ten small drawers (one replaced) and raised on straight bracket feet. Secondary woods include: poplar, oak, walnut and beech. There is a faint inscription on one of the bottom drawers. Pennsylvania, circa 1760-80.

An antique Huanghuali Chinese grain storage coffer in a square design. The hinged cover has a floating panel with time honored shrinkage surrounded by a frame. There are four protruding grooved square posts, one per corner that adds a decorative element. Hardware has brass mounts. Through mortise and tenon joinery construction and a beautiful patina acquired over its history. Front slatted moldings and 2 panel replacements using Jichimu wood...
Plate in cast bronze, hot gilded with mercury, representing an antique chariot drawn by 2 horses guided by a female Greek deity. The chariot flies in the clouds and in front of the horses a child pours water from his watering can. The quality is exceptional, designs of sublime elegance, perfect casting, excellent carving and finitions a very thick mercury gilding. We see on the back of the plaque the remains of two prominent iron fixings...
