This is one of the nicest pair of stacking bookcases that we've had, mainly because you can fit large size books in them. Each one is four stacks high, but they are much higher than the usual stackers, and the bottom two are also a lot deeper. Each of the top two sections measures 13" tall x 34" wide x 11" deep. Each of the bottom two sections measures 16" tall x 34" wide x 14" deep. The total of each bookcase is 70" tall x 34" wide. They have been refinished and are in excellent condition...

From our European Collection, a charming Rococo sofa, early 20th century circa 1900-1920, probably French, executed with lovely curvilinear lines true to the style, with hand-carved shell-shaped and floral motifs executed into the wood frame, and finished with an elegant but understated two-tone gold on gold damask fabric. The fabric is not original, but is quite likely a re-upholstery job from the 1950's or so, and has survived wonderfully since then...

This is a beautiful, unusual walnut and burl Gentleman's dresser made by Nelson, Matter & Company from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They were in business from 1870 to 1899. The whole piece measures 6'1" tall x 4' wide x 21" deep. The full length beveled mirror stands on the left side, and on the right is a four drawer dresser including a hidden top drawer and three other drawers. The top of the dresser is lovely marble. It has a partial tag still attached with the maker's name...

A very high quality mahogany drop leaf table with turned legs and stretchers with a shaped apron at either end. The three boards, one for the top and one for each leaf are well matched single boards. Excellent proportion and a nice small size. 27 ½ tall X 28 ¾ long X 11 ½ wide in inches. With the leaves up 31 ½ inches wide.

Condition; minor repairs including the replacement of one of the feet. There is an old breakout at one of the joints...

Beautiful antique drafting table made by the Washburn Shops at the Worcester Polytecnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, circa late 1800s. It has a black cast iron adjustable base with hand painted legs that are in perfect original condition. The height can be adjusted, as well as the top, which can be angled to any degree. Side and rear horizontal bars were designed for strength and visual appeal.

This is a pair of antique Chinese official hat chairs. Made of Chinese Elm wood, it was decorated with hand carved Linghi mushroom accents. The finish has traces of transparent Burgandy lacquer.

A pair of antique Chinese Horseshoe chairs made of solid Zitan wood. They each feature a 3 section S-curve back splat with floating panel seats and a front that has an apron with a cloud motif and a foot stretcher. The back splat has symbol carvings related to the boar.

Absolutely the most beautiful American Victorian dresser I've ever seen! Made by Mitchell & Rammelsberg circa 1870, this mahogany dresser is 9'3" tall, by 60" wide, by 25" deep. It has three long drawers over another hidden drawer, and all interiors are maple. Pictured in Dubrow's book "Styles of American Furniture," there is one like it in the Newark Museum. The carving of a women's head at the very top is just beautiful. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

A Wonderful English Regency Hand Painted Tilt Top Candle Stand or Tea Table, with a Scalloped Edge and with Bouquets of Flowers as a Design. Dimensions; 19" across x 26" high. Circa 1810-1820 and with only slight signs of wear.

This rare and wonderful table was made by John Henry Belter circa 1850-1860. It has a white marble top, and four c-scrolled legs - each one different. There is a dolphin, an eagle, a boar and a hound. The table measures 29" tall x 42" long x 32 3/4" deep. A table exactly like this one sold at Neal Auction in 2003 for $50,000. This is a very rare and wonderful piece of Americana.

This beautiful bed, circa 1860, is exquisitely carved rosewood. It has deep, three-dimentional lilies of the valley, along with other flowers and ornaments. It measures 7 feet tall x 58" wide x 80" long. We have a double matress on it now, but there is room both in the length and wide for a larger matress to be made. This beautiful bed is in terrific original condition.

Lovely set of twelve mahogany dining room chairs, circa 1880. They have carved knees leading to ball and claw feet. The two arm chairs measure 39 1/2" tall x 24" wide, and the ten side chairs measure 38" tall x 20" wide.

Beautifully carved solid mahogany server by R.J. Horner, New York measuring 72" long x 24" deep x 39" high. The front legs have carved women with garlands of flowers. There are 2 spring loaded drawers in the front. This great piece of furniture is in wonderful condition and will fit beautifully in a dining room or hallway.

Beautiful early cherry two piece corner cabinet with the top door having 12 panes of original glass (one pane has a very tiny crack at the bottom of it). It is all mortise and tenon construction, and measures 88" tall 43" wide x 27" deep. Other than the one small crack in the glass it is in perfect condition and ready to go into your home.

One of the best back bars ever, this measures almost 12 feet tall and almost 20 feet long! It is made of cherry and walnut burl, American, circa 1880's. Lovely early 19th century two drawer drop leaf worktable, tiger maple with cherry drawers. The drawers are all chamfered on the bottom, and the piece measures 29" tall x 20" wide x 20 1/2" deep, and 39 1/2" wide when the leaves are up. It is in wonderful original condition.

Beautiful little three drawer drop leaf work table, early 19th century, made of mahogany as the main wood and the drawers decorated in tiger maple. It is in excellent original condition, with the bottom of all the drawers chamfered. It measures 30" tall x 19 1/2" wide x 24" deep when the sides are down, and 40" wide when both sides are up. Very unusual American victorian check of walnut and burl. It has two small drawers on top and four large drawers on the bottom. The design is one of flowers, and is framed with a burl border. Circa 1880, very different.

This absolutely beautiful set of American carved mahogany chairs is top of the line. They are Chippendale in style, circa 1900. There are acanthus leaves on the knees and ball and claw feet. The two armchairs measure 39" tall x 25 1/2" wide, and the six side chairs measure 39" tall x 22" wide.

This is a lovely revolving bookcase, circa 1910. It is mahogany, with a shell style inlay on the top. There are two shelves on each of the four sides. The bookcase itself measures 31" high x 19" deep.

This is a Austrian rural style chest, a so called carved " Bauerntruhe " from Styria. Softwood ( pine needle wood ) This piece from about 1750 originaly was only to open from upwards. From our European Collection, a good 19th century hand-carved hall chair with an armorial / heraldic shield, probably Spanish in origin. The wood used is a dense and heavy hardwood which appears to be either walnut or mahogany. The chair is armless and rests upon wooden casters.
