Japanese Meiji Period Massive Serving Platter 18 1/2 x 16 1/4” Circa 1870

A pair of Chinese bronze lamps each four sided lamp base with 96 characters in Chinese from the Republic Period Dome in the Tang Dynasty taste. Each vase measuring 15” tall and with harp 28”

A fine and rare Pennsylvania Dutch Amish folk art candle box carved from a single piece of yellow pine (no joining at all). The interior hollowed and the interior sides hand planed. One side with bas relief carved hex motifs. The other side with the initials, IF and IB (if read left to right, though not sure of the intended order), likely of a married couple and with other carved and incised adornment including hearts. Fitted, sliding top (the only exception to it being wholly one piece)...

DESCRIPTION: A handsome set of six Spanish Renaissance carved walnut and leather dining chairs, 19th c., the rectangular leather backs over rectangular leather seats with large bronze floret tack trim, on square legs joined by stretchers with hand carved circular florets. CONDITION: Condition is consistent with age and use. The wood is in good condition with minor scuffs and nicks. The leather upholstery has some mild cracking and some wear at the edges...

A magnificent Chinese Export reticulated porcelain Chestnut Basket and Undertray. The basket with upswept twined handles in Gold leaf enamels, Decorated in sepia and other deep tones with borders are fruiting grape clusters and floral sprays to the circular cartouche and central Rondell of undertray. Measuring Basket 10.5”x7”, Undertray 11”x7.5” Extremely beautiful and rare probably made for the Prussian market

An antique 2 section Korean Nong made of Elm, Genko and Pine woods. Nickel hard mounts with foliated central lock plate medallions. Ryu shaped hinges. With bat mounts representing happiness and articulated Chau ornaments symbolizing longevity. The front elm wood is book matched for visual symmetry and balance. Original paper lined interior.

Main top drawer lock plate has a flying Phoenix with surrounding drawer lock plates featuring Paulownia leaves from which the bird drinks the collected dew to get its energy. A locking bar secures two drawers and a hinged door opens to access four small drawers...

An antique Japanese Funa Tansu (ship chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. All original hand forged iron fittings and finish. Top handle in the Warabite design for carrying. Safe door opens to reveal 5 drawers where important documents, papers, writing brushes, an inkstone and valuables were stored. A trick secret storage box was used to hide important trinkets...

An antique Japanese 2 section Nagoya Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. Cast iron hardware including the Warabite handles. Upper half features 2 pairs of sliding doors and a set of three side by side drawers. Lower half has 2 sliding doors with 2 side by side drawers. The shallow design would accommodate the narrowest of hallways.
