This attractively proportioned games table is a form famously produced in the Salem, Massachusetts area at the beginning of the 19th Century. The serpentine form with ovolo corners, coupled with richly carved foliate and reeded legs, is a motif used by those cabinetmakers and carvers associated with the successful workshop of Samuel Field McIntire (1757-1811). A very fine English Queen Anne Satinwood and Marquetry Tea Caddy, circa 1750. The case fitted with beautiful Lion Head hardware on either end and trimmed with contrasting woods. The interior with fitted double tea safes and an ornate cut crystal mixing glass and original key. Measuring 8” in height, 12.5” in length,and 6.5” deep.

A fine example of an 18th C. Tibetan painted leaver hide over hardwood trunk. Original hand forged fifties are in place. Along with original ring an loop style hinged top. Top hinges open to reveal open storage area. Very sturdy in construction and can hold up to modern day use without issue.
Beautiful naturally aged patina consistent with early age. Hand made pigments are clearly seen...

This is a Austrian rural style chest, a so called carved " Bauerntruhe " from Styria. Softwood ( pine needle wood ) This piece from about 1750 originaly was only to open from upwards. To make this nice piece more useable for everydays use, there recentely was made 2 doors into the front side of the chest. These 2 doors are not visible, when they are closed. Nice restored condition ! H : 33,5 inc. L : 55,5 inc. Deep : 21,5 inc.
